Mounjaro, menopause and me.

I have finally plucked up the courage to book a consultation to see a weight loss consultant/provider with a view to hopefully starting Mounjaro (tirzepatide) in a fortnight.

I am post menopause and seem to be losing and then finding the same 21lbs over the past decade. Currently on HRT and should be for the foreseeable future.

Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation? Feeling nervous but need to do something as currently almost 100kg.

I definitely found it impossible to lose weight after 50, having previously been a size 8/10 all my life. Wegovy is making it much easier.

I stopped taking the pill to see if my periods hsve stopped and how I feel, before thinking about HRT, and started taking Mounjaro three months later. So far so very good, plenty of weight loss and hardly any low oestrogen symptoms, and definitely no periods.

So glad everyone’s had success. That’s great @spoonbillstretford, I have been period free for 5 years and contraceptive free 5 before that thanks to DH ✂️. Definitely feel the benefits of HRT, almost all symptoms are gone but struggle with weight and memory at times too.

So far so good, sore head this morning but didn’t last long and skin felt tender to touch when getting dressed.
