Could you share your losses?

I’ve seen a couple of threads recently of people thinking their losses were slow - I posted one myself a while ago but soon realised my losses were completely normal! If you’re tracking your weekly losses, could you share them? It might be helpful for some to see that we all lose weight differently and there’s no ‘right’ way as long as there’s a consistent downward trend.

Here’s mine so far. I seem to lose 3-4lbs in the first week of the month and then go nice and slow on the other weeks.

Losses
2.5mg
Week1: 4.8lbs
Week 2: 1.1 lbs
Week 3: 1lbs
Week 4: + 0.5lbs

Month 1 loss: 6.4lbs

5mg
Week 5: 3.5lbs
Week 6: 1lb
Week 7: 0.2lbs
Week 8: +0.4lbs

Month 2 loss: 4.7lbs

5mg
Week 9: 3.2 lbs

Mine are all in my month starters’ thread (up until I hit goal anyway!). Don’t people in yours post theirs too?

WeAllHaveWings · 19/07/2025 15:15

Mine in the first couple of months were higher than yours, but that is because I started morbidly obese with a BMI of 45. My doses were also lower for longer. Out of context of the persons history and how they are approaching weight loss with support from Mounjaro, weight losses week by week don't really mean much.

I don't think comparison helps anyone, but agree what matters is the downward trend over the longer term.

frogpigdonkey · 19/07/2025 18:14

To give a longer term perspective, I’m 30 weeks on MJ and down 45lbs. Exactly a pound and a half a week but it hasn’t been smooth- some 5lb weeks and several 2 weeks plateaus in there. I haven’t starved myself, ive had holidays and drinks and the odd cake. What it has let me do is stick in an overall calorie deficit and lose the weight, nd also believe that it will come off. It’s not the insta TikTok 4lbs a week but I think it’s healthy and sustainable. On my month starters page there are several like me, some faster and some slower. If you have a lot to lose it’s a marathon not a sprint. Good luck!

I'm also week 9.
I'm short in height and over 60.
My total loss so far is 11lbs so nothing to write home about but I wouldn't have done it without Mounjaro and I accept I will be a steady loser.
I'm still taking 2.5mgs.

Fatmumslim01 · 19/07/2025 18:44

I think everyone is so different we shouldn't really compare, although I do 😂 I think I'm quite a slow loser but I have never consistently lost this much weight on previous diets, mj has been life-changing.

I'm 5 foot, starting weight 4 months ago was 14-7 so BMI 39.8 it's now 12-9 BMI 34.6.

Most weeks I lose a pound, occasionally 3 pounds, and I've also had 2 x 2 weeks plateaus in there (although it's not officially a plateau if it's less than 4 weeks but I call it a plateau or a stall)

So I think I'm 19 weeks in now I lose count of the weeks and im 26 pound down, 44 to go

BlueLimes · 19/07/2025 18:45

Month 1 - (but started mid month) 9lbs
Month 2 - 4lbs
Month - 7lbs
Month 4 - 4.5lbs
Month 5 - 1.5 (felt like giving up!)
Month 6 - 4.5lbs

12lbs to go.

I've been on MJ since the very end Nov '24, starting BMI was 42, now it's 29.

I know context is important but I love it when I come across someone who’s lost in the same way I have - roughly 1.5lbs per week
(on average). I’m 50, short and started out at 16 stone 3. Currently 15:2.5 so just over 1 stone. I’m impatiently looking forward to being back in the 14s. It’s been around 5 years since I was last in that bracket.

@threeeggsontoast I’m 5ft 2 50 and started at 15 stone. We’re only human so it would be foolish to suggest not looking at people dropping huge amounts every week without envy! I keep telling myself I’ve been fat most of my adult life and never lost this consistently or felt so confident I would get to where I would like to be. Slow and steady wins the race!

Attaching my spreadsheet because it’s easier than typing it out 😄

RainbowZebraWarrior · 19/07/2025 21:04

Started 38 weeks ago. Have lost 14 kilos, so approx 217g per week. Have been stuck at 87 kilos since 5th June. Currently on 3rd 12.5mg jab. A bit pissed off if I'm honest. I do have a lot of medical conditions (both physical and also ADHD) and tend to not respond well to any meds but I'll keep plodding on.

Really disheartening though when I see folk losing Lbs per week.

PorkerNoMore · 19/07/2025 21:06

I didn’t keep track of my weekly losses, but, to date, I’ve lost 53 pounds. I started at 188 pounds and I’m 5’8.5.

I wasn’t massively overweight to start with, but I feel so much better.

Oh my - that is a true thing of beauty. Got to love a gorgeous spreadsheet. 😆

I didn’t track weekly, I weigh most days so don’t have an easy spread sheet to show you.

Started 15th October
5’ 4.5’ PCOS
16st 2.7lbs BMI 38.2
Current 8st 3lbs BMI 19.4
Total loss 7st 13.7lbs
49% body weight lost
My app says my average weekly loss is 2.82lbs

No side effects or issues, feel great. PCOS symptoms gone and periods are back.

Starting maintenance now and plan to take it for life.
