Exactly how much have I injected?

I should be able to work this out but for clarity could someone confirm for me? And yeah, I’ve been on it 16 months and am maintaining since December so should know by now!

I rarely use the last remaining bit but decided I would today so using a 1ml syringe with 10-100 units listed on the side, I drew the remains of a 10mg pen and it was just a touch under 70 on the syringe

how much exactly is this? Google not clear enough for me and yeah I’m asking after the event and not before which isn’t wise

70 units is 0.7ml. 0.6ml is a full dose on any pen. On your 10mg pen, 0.7ml is a 11.67mg dose. (10mg x (0.7/0.6) is the maths). Please check my maths and reasoning.

@SilenceInside does this formula work for every strength pen please? So how would I work out what is 0.7 on a 5mg pen please?

@Fatmumslim01 yes, it's just a very simple ratio, given that 0.6ml is a full dose on any strength pen. So in general the maths is:

pen strength in mg x (amount in syringe in ml / 0.6)

So for your 5mg pen, with 0.7ml in the syringe:

5mg x (0.7/0.6) = 5.83mg
