Golden dose syringes

Are these what I need for the ‘golden dose’?

I’m hoping to do this on Monday - my bonus 2.5mg. I think I’m going to stay on it for another month, so does anyone know how much I need to draw out of the pen based on these 1ml syringes?

Don’t buy them from Amazon, buy from an actual online pharmacy like UKMedi or similar. Amazon can’t sell medical grade syringes which is why they’re labelled for “pet feeding” and so on.

From a pharmacy, you would need 1ml insulin syringes, the length of the needle can be 6 or 8mm and the gauge can be 30, 31 or 32g.

When you say you’re going to use the remaining medication on Monday, you mean as a 5th dose from this pen having done the 4 normal doses already, and not an additional dose on top of the 4th dose from the pen on the same day?

When you extract the medication you’ll usually get between 0.6 and 0.9ml. 0.6ml is a standard dose from any pen. So 0.6ml would be 2.5mg from your pen. If you use any more than that you will need to do some simple maths to work out how much you’ve injected, if you wanted to increase the dose. If you’re happy with 2.5mg then just use 0.6ml.

They are “Precision Multiple Uses Distribution Measuring Tools Plastic Lab Accessories Individually Sealed Packaging for Pet Feeding Liquid Separation” , not something I’d use!

dont buy from Amazon, try uk medi for human grade syringes . 8mm 32g 1ml syringes

You can have an extra day or two gap between doses, it won't hurt as a one off. Read the patient information leaflet about missed doses/ changing the day of your dose.

They’re usually pretty quick so you may well have them by Monday. I really wouldn’t use anything from Amazon as you don’t know if they’re sterile. I’d rather delay the jab or not do it at all tbh!

Perfect! Used those for every one of my 12 fifth doses! 😁

There are lots of TikTok and you tube videos to guide you. I’ve always had a full “golden” dose from my pens so I get 5 doses for the price of 4.
