I am badly overweight with a high BMI. I have several health problems some due to my weight. Have looked at paying privately for weight loss drug but I get rejected straight away due to health problems as I would have to be monitored regularly by GP. I asked about it through my GP and was told no as I don’t have the specific four conditions needed to try it. Have tried WW, Smimming World, 5-2…..all of them but as exercise is needed as well I can’t due to health condition and in serious pain afterwards. I just feel like I’m going around in circles!

Are you comfortable saying WHICH health conditions? And which pharmacy rejected you?

There are smaller pharmacies out there that are gp led who are more comfortable taking on patients with more complicated health issues than the big risk averse companies like Medexpress.

Another option could be a local independent pharmacy where you would be able to see the pharmacist regularly for monitoring. May be more ££ than the cheapest online one but is a route worth trying.
