I have reached out to my provider, but have not had a responss, basically my first pack or 2.5 arrived on Saturday, having been on the van for several hours.
It was within a cool pack, and this was wrapped in a layer of thick wool like insulation. The pen did not feel cold, I have put the pen straight into my salad box - but would you use it ?

Yes I would use it. The chances of it being over 30 degrees is pretty slim given that it was properly packed with ice packs and insulation. Being over 30 degrees would mean that it should not be used.

Yes, definitely. The packaging is designed to keep it cool for up to 72 hours. I keep my pen in the door of the fridge in the original box. The pen itself never feels particularly cold but that's fine. I know it's being kept at a good temperature.

If you are going to use it straight away it’s fine as it can be out the fridge for 30 days and as PP said it won’t have exceeded 30 degrees. If you aren’t going to use it straight away this raises an issue of whether the shelf life will have been affected by it coming up to room temperature. I probably wouldn’t worry too much but lots of people do get in touch with their suppliers and ask for a new pen when theirs has not been cold on receipt. The pharmacy do have an obligation to you to get you then pen at a refrigerated temperature.

Yes I would. The packs are generally good for 48 hours and even then the pen is fine at room temp (up to 30 degrees) for 30 days.

Unless there was a serious delay to delivery, the cool pack keeps the pen cool for a few days. Yes you can use it, it will be fine. Be careful of storing it in the salad box, it gets very cold in there and could freeze. The top of fridge or inside the door is a better option.
