Hi 😊
I'm desperately trying to start my journey with mounjaro but finding it so difficult to get a supplier as I have no current drivers license or passport.
I'm waiting on refund from med express as they refused me.
I live in a small place and don't drive and the post office doesn't even offer the facility to renew my licence as I need a photo.
Does anyone know of any suppliers that will prescribe with selfie only ?
I'll have to try and get the forms to renew my license but of course that is going to take weeks.
Thanks for your help 🩷

I don't but I wouldn't have thought you would find a online registered pharmacy that doesn't need photo ID.

Maybe in the past but they have really tightened up regulations.

SilenceInside · 14/07/2025 16:34

Can’t you renew your licence online?

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 14/07/2025 16:49

Farmeci didn't require photo ID some months ago, so might be worth a try.

TheNinthLock · 14/07/2025 17:05

Zava didn't require photo ID when I started with them in April.
I have now moved to Pharmulous and they did require me to verify my ID through a website they linked to.
But I don't know if that is Pharmulous being more diligent or whether this is due to the regulations being tightened up.

You just renew your licence and passport online. Quick and easy to do.

For the purposes of verifying who you are, they may well accept an out of date passport/license. It's just official photo ID, you don't need to travel on it or drive with it

GiveMeWordGames · 14/07/2025 17:26

You say you live in a small place and this may not be an option, but I get mine in person from a local independent pharmacy so I've never had to deal with photo ID or video calls and whatnot.

In my case those aren't actually the reason I avoid online, it's to do with delivery issues for my house.

Lolli60 · 14/07/2025 17:40

Unfortunately expired license is not accepted.
I can't renew online as it needs address change too
I don't have a passport so will have to start both from scratch 🫣
The joys of getting old and not even realizing my license would run out lol 😆

We have a Boots here but looking at the prices they are a lot dearer so I'll have to be patient 😁

I had to send a picture of my ID to zava when I started in July 2024

It's only a name change that you can't do online, a renewal and address change is fine, assuming you're not in NI?

Apparently not without a passport 😔

Ah it’s a shame if it’s impossible for you to do quickly online. I guess you’ll have to wait for the time it takes to sort it out via a postal form. A few more weeks won’t matter in the long run.

WeAllHaveWings · 14/07/2025 18:52

You will need some form of photo ID for most online pharmacies now.

Alternative could be a local pharmacy might allow you to start with a face to face consultation, they tend to be more expensive, but could be a way to get started.

Once you get your photo ID sorted you could then swap to a cheaper online supplier.

Could you find out if pharmacies would accept a Voter Authority Certificate, and if so apply for one? They are free and will also enable you to vote in the next elections.

GloriaHotcakes · 15/07/2025 07:37

By law they need ID now
