Week 6D1, 2nd 5mg jag this morning and another 2lbs off, so 11lbs in total. I'm happy with that, even if I'd prefer it to speed up a bit! Only side effect is knock-me-over fatigue which tends to appear on Thursdays after Tuesday jab. May change jag day so that the tiredness hits over the weekend.

Chellooo · 15/07/2025 16:55

I'm trying to do the maths but my brain isn't braining! I have the 5 pen, and took a full dose last week...
So I'm calculating that as I have 15 (20-5) left in the pen... if I drop to 3.75 for my next few doses, does that mean I've 4 doses left?

Puffalicious · 15/07/2025 17:59

Hey all,

Been on hols, home again & now on a UK hol (it's raining 🙄).

W5D1

SW (Jan) 14st 2
SW (June start of MJ) 13st 3
CW 12st 4
GW 10st 10 (BMI 24)

I'm so chuffed to have lost almost a stone. I see a real difference in clothes & feel far more like myself. Many more clothes fit & look lots better. I'm now officially not obese, just overweight, which is bloody marvellous. DP delighted as he worries about health (naturally super slim & fit, so he has never really understood how tough it is).

I did have quite different SE when I was on holiday. I think different food/ eating later (which my body hates at the best of times) wasn't great. I had one night where I was in pain & just needed a good dose of wind/ bowel movement! UKnow & much better.

Did golden dose this morning & I'm quite nauseous. I wonder if it's because people say it's 3.5mg? This is a caution going forward. Was going to do 3.75mg of the 5mg pen but now not sure. Will give it a day or so & decide.

FoxRedPuppy · 15/07/2025 18:03

I still feel pretty rough. All I’ve managed today is a boiled egg, half a slice of toast and one taco. I’ve drunk lots of water.

I really hope it goes soon. 🤮

60 clicks is one full dose. So 4 doses is 240 clicks. You now have 180 clicks left. Which is enough for 4 doses of 35 clicks (3.75).

45 clicks is 3.75 (typo?) otherwise I agree.

I hope you're okay. Watch a good movie/ series then try to sleep it off.

Chellooo · 15/07/2025 19:58

Brilliant, thank you ladies

Sogfree · 15/07/2025 20:08

I've just had a huge bowl of pasta with chicken, bacon and cheese, all drizzled in oil. Then half a tub of chocolate brownie B+J.

I was really hungry! And it tasted so good.

RatherTardy · 15/07/2025 20:26

Thanks for all the pants sharing
(And sorry if I've lowered the tone of the thread).

Its my jab day tomorrow (week 6 since starting).
And my bloody needles STILL haven't arrived. I've had an email from Pharmacy2U saying they're sending me the needles, but that was Monday and they're still not here. I'm livid! And if I can't jab tomorrow night I'm going to have a full on meltdown.

My weight is going down, which I'm so pleased and grateful for, but my middle doesn't seem any smaller, which makes me sad. It means even though I've lost a stone, I don't look like I have, and I'm on the beach Monday week.
I guess I should have started earlier 🤷‍♀️🙈🥹

Gingercar · 15/07/2025 20:31

Try a Boots or some other pharmacy? See if you can get needles there? Even insulin needles.

Focusispower · 15/07/2025 21:35

I jabbed this morning but today is the first day I’ve gone properly off piste diet wise - had at least half a bottle of wine, some tapas and some chocolate. We will see if I get SE in the morning. I wasn’t going to do the golden dose but I think I might in a bid to up my suppression this week as I’ve got less than two weeks before I go on holiday.

I do need to resist daily weighing. I’ve always been someone whose weight can wildly fluctuate. One of the best things about MJ is I haven’t had any bloating at all since starting and I was ALWAYS bloated as soon as I ate.

ThisNeedsToWork · 15/07/2025 23:33

Evening everyone! I took 3.75 from my 5mg pen but weirdly I’m having far less restriction with that than I was on 2.5mg. I hope I haven’t scuppered myself by having that week off but I really needed it as my suppression was so strong I was struggling to manage 500 calories a day. Today I had a slice of whole meal toast, a banana, chicken and salad and a packet of plain hula hoops! 🫣 Still not over what I should be eating but crisps aren’t ideal. I was just craving salt for some reason. I am constantly feeling dehydrated regardless of how much water I’m drinking so maybe they’re linked.
Feel like I have thrush too! 😬 I’m not really prone to it other than when I’m dieting. A dietitian once told me though that despite thinking I’m not prone to it, it’s probably rife in my gut and when I cut off its supply of sugar and starchy carbs, it goes into overdrive hence the symptoms. She told me no sugar or refined carbs for 6wks was needed but I’ve never managed it.
SEs for me at the minute are headaches, constant thirst and extreme tiredness. Oh and the fact that I no longer like tea-what’s that all about??? I’ve only lost 1 pound in the last 2wks which is very frustrating and demoralising but 1st 4lbs overall in 6wks isn’t bad.

flameprincess · 15/07/2025 23:34

Definitely feeling out of the honeymoon phase, mostly due to regret at doing a second month on 2.5mg. The suppression stopped for me on week 1 of my second pen and while I've managed to stick to my calories its been mentally draining dreaming of cheeseburgers constantly... and gaining and losing the same 1lb over the past 2 weeks. Im going on holiday next week though and really didnt want to increase my dose beforehand.

I was also full of excitement at the start, watching all these amazing tiktoks of ppl losing 2 stone in their first 2 months etc and now those same videos are pissing me off because thats clearly not going to be my journey😂 (yeah i know, 1-2lbs a week is the sustainable way but ugh its still utterly depressing when I have such a high starting weight)

ShesRunningOutTheDoor · 16/07/2025 05:54

Well I have some good news for those stuck on a plateau. The scales didn’t move for days and days but then yesterday they dropped 1/2 a kilo and today the same.
so it went nothing nothing nothing nothing and more nothings then ‘here you can have 2lbs off for only moaning a bit’

healthjourney · 16/07/2025 06:54

@ThisNeedsToWork with headaches, fatigue, thirst and salt cravings I'd recommend having electrolytes, they are really helping me get rid of or avoid similar side effects. I hope that helps you feel better

SomethingAboutYou · 16/07/2025 07:30

Last week the weight was dropping off me at quite a pace (for me), I lost 1.8lbs then the following 2 days another 1.4lbs down and I was thinking about what I'd done differently to this week where it's just hovering around the same weight....I did strength training with a pair of 3kg weights last week! I've not been feeling great this week and have let the little excersises with the weights slide and I wonder if that's the difference. I will be testing this theory out! I saw someone say their loss had increased when they added more calories too, so that's another food for thought piece 😂 I am aiming for 1500cals a day though so I don't think increasing is wise for me, but might be for those who are eating less than 1k a day x

MissMogs · 16/07/2025 08:09

Today marks exactly 4 weeks since i had my first jab. Although I’m already partway through week 5 due to spacing by 6 days not 7 to move the day, and last time I moved up to 3.75.
I’d sort of been hoping to hit the 1 stone down mark and disappointingly haven’t. About 13lbs down though so still good and probably more sustainable. I feel better in myself but no noticeable differences in clothing fitting or looks. But I have a lot to lose so that’s probably why.
SW 104.4kg
CW 98.2kg
GW 65kg hahahahaha
mini goals are 5kg marks. Lightest I’ve been in recent years was 85kg so that would be psychologically pleasing.
I’m just going on holiday so won’t be able to weigh for a while and who knows how I’ll manage different food and routines.
Barey any SE so far - slight nausea the day after moving to 3.75 is all. Let’s hope that lasts!

Pennina · 16/07/2025 08:56

Hi everyone, continuing to make steady progress. I took my last 2.5 jab on Monday.

SW 16st 9
CW 16 st
TW 11 st

long way to go still but I’m excited about going down to the next stone. I feel suppression is not a strong now so I have ordered a 5 mg pen.

ChiaraMontague · 16/07/2025 12:22

W5D5 - been feeling pretty meh over the last few days but I’ve got my period so I think it’s that rather than anything to do with MJ. No difference in period symptoms since starting the jabs so perhaps I’m lucky in that way.

I didn’t do my weights workout on Sunday - way way way too hot! - but will be trying to get one done this afternoon. Also no yoga last night but will be going to Pilates tomorrow night so hopefully it balances out.

Appetite suppression seems to be stronger since I went up to 5mg but again not totally sure if this is due to the hot weather or Mounjaro.

I did progress photos over the weekend and didn’t see much difference. Annoyingly DH has much bigger visual difference but he is 10kg lighter than me so weight loss will show quicker. Going to try to forget about the photos for now and just keep on keeping on 😊

Focusispower · 16/07/2025 12:26

@flameprincess i wonder if I will feel the same re the lack of suppression on month two of 2.5mg - like you though I wanted to be able to enjoy my holiday which is coming up in 10 days or so time.

The scales have budged today - 2lb less now so total weigtloss looks like it’s 11b but I can see myself fluctuating between the same lb or 2 for a while if things continue as they have done this last week. That 2lb has come and gone and come back this week!

LongGinShortTonic · 16/07/2025 12:27

After last week's frankly revolting toilet issues, things have settled down this week with my second 5mg. I jabbed later than usual on Monday and yesterday was absolutely exhausted, so tired I had an hour's nap at lunchtime and slept from 10pm-6am, almost unheard of for menopausal insomnia me. Only one episode of runny tum, and nowhere near as bad as last week. I have also gone completely off normal tea and am mainlining peppermint and liquorice tea, I've gone all Scandinavian and my inner Viking is to blame for me drinking at least 8 cups a day. I have realised how little dairy I am consuming on MJ as opposed to usual.

Still undecided whether to do a jab Monday with going on holiday Thursday. or whether I bring it forward to Sunday (post triathlon!) and then I've got more time for the side effects to run through. Overall I'm 11.5lbs down from my start weight and feeling much better for it.

On the triathlon note. People of all ages and sizes and levels of fitness do it, I just wanted a challenge, I'm totally shit at them and this is likely to be my last one! But I want to end my tri days on my terms and it's just between me and the event. I'm a stone lighter than I was doing the same event last year - but also a year older, so let's see!

SewerOrLess · 16/07/2025 12:34

Haven't lost any weight at all this week but did a me360 and can almost see a change in the last month.

Annoyingly I can't access the first scan without paying for premium.

Still feel nauseous and can’t make myself eat anything. It’s exactly like pregnancy sickness! Went to pharmacy to buy anti sickness tablets and they won’t sell them to me. Say I have to go to GP.

Then I say in my car and cried. I don’t know why I’m finding this nausea so much harder than the beginning. I bought a meal replacement shake to try and get some calories into me.

You must be feeling so weak and ghastly. You may have tried this but could you split the dose and reduce it but take it every 5 days? It can't be healthy for you to be going through this.
