I've done 4 weeks on 2.5 and nearly 3 weeks on 5 of mounjaro. I'm gutted. I'll go up 7.5 on my next pen but until then so so disappointed.

Hi @Slimswim i have found that by tracking my calories on my MyFitnessPal it has really helped me to focus on portion size. Maybe you need to do something different and try not to lose heart.

On track my calories on nutracheck and make sure I’m getting enough protein and fibre too. So my calories are coming from the weight place.

Hi @Slimswim even if you weren’t calorie counting do you have an idea of what sort of thing you’ve been eating. Did you have a big appetite still or lots of suppression?

Some people don’t get full effect until they’re on higher doses.

@Slimswim I'm sorry you're feeling discouraged. As others have said, what's your suppression like? Look for NSVs as well (non scale victories). Things like clothes feeling looser.

Good afternoon June jabbers, thread 4 already, i stepped back for a few weeks because life got chaotic. My grandson was in hospital for 3 weeks his balloon popped (GJ) and they decided to try him on a normal peg (G tube) and get salt back on board and see if he can feed orally during the day , then 2 weeks ago our heart dog was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and he passed last Thursday, that pupper got me through some of the worst times of my life when my daughter died so it's been a rough few weeks , I haven't been eating or sleeping very well at all .
I did manage a loss last week but I'm up a kg midweek this week but I'm okay with this considering everything that has gone on the last few weeks . I'm barely functioning at the moment I have a holiday I'm due to fly on Friday and I'm nowhere near ready for either .
I have decided not to take my pen with me because I have ordered a 5mg pen fory 3rd pen which is due the day I fly back so I'm going to delay and not risk any SE on the flight .
Glad to see everyone doing well so far and everyone doing their best you all got this 🙏 well done you rock stars ✨

12 hours late and I’ve just jabbed. Today has run away with me. Really hoping the side effects aren’t too bad this week, not least because I am doing a triathlon on Sunday morning and frankly it would be a disaster to be caught short!

my waist and jawline have reappeared and I have high hopes my love handles are reducing. I’ve got a lot of outer thigh spread though, a little bit like deflated in particular areas?! Notice it when I put my seatbelt on.

fingers crossed I can sleep through the start of it. Great to see how everyone is getting on, right now is the point where I’d usually think ‘I’ve got this’ or just give up in despair - but we must prevail and keep on pushing!

off on holiday a week Wednesday for five days and wondering whether to just skip a week. I’m on 5mg now and I’d like to just be able to enjoy it all. Do you think that’s ok or will I cause disaster? Or golden dose it next Monday to 2.5 equivalent (which I’m guessing would be 0.3 equivalent?)

What’s your willpower like? Would you be ok relying upon it if need be? Or are you planning to just go off track and eat normally? You’ll have a good few calories in hand after your triathlon. Are you quite near your goal? I can’t imagine being anywhere near fit enough for that. Well done you!

Really happy with progress so far, wish I'd bitten the bullet sooner and started before.

I am heavier this morning by 2lb. Think constipation is to blame!! I definitely also eat more on days 5/6/7 and yesterday I was starving. I jabbed first thing as I’m off to the office too. First one from a new 2.5mg pen. Technically though, week 4 ends on Thursday which marks a month on Mounjaro and somewhere between 9-11lb weightloss. That’s not bad….I think if suppression is weaker this month I’m going to bring my jabs closer together so maybe every 5 days instead of 7.

I felt a bit of nausea about 24hrs after doing my first 3.75, but nothing since (that was on Saturday). I hope it settles for you too!

@FoxRedPuppy try not to get annoyed with yourself. I felt so nauseous yesterday for no obvious reason. Im still on 2.5mg, not eaten anything different and am staying well hydrated. So yours might not even be because of the dose increase, could be the weather or just one of those unpredictable surprises that mounjaro sometimes brings 🙄

Ref weight fluctuation.

My weight fluctuates by around 5lb across a week.

Never having been much of a weigher recently and when on WW/SW only did weekly weighing I am now weighing every day as soon as I get up and the fluctuation is (to me) quite astounding. I'm loosing overall in the week, it's just there's a lot of ups as well which I'm sure that without the WLI would mean that I gave up .

In the past I did slimpod where they say not to weigh yourself and just go by your clothes and I did lose weight but I then found that over the course of a year or so I put half the weight back on because I wasn’t tracking it! My weight fluctuates too and I find it depressing when it goes up! So I am now forcing myself to only weigh once a week! But it’s so tempting each morning to step on the scales!!

Yes, me! I've lost 8lbs in six weeks.

Took my first 5mg dose last Saturday but haven't lost any weight since last Tuesday, even though I'm eating less and suppression has been stronger this week. Very frustrating!

I've felt a little nauseous at times but find that if I eat something, the nauseous feeling goes.

However, I'm eating healthier, portions are smaller and a loss is a loss, so am sticking with it. 7lbs may not seem much to you, but I've heard that losing slower is better for maintaining that loss later on. Try not to worry too much about those posters who have lost loads, it might be that they have more to lose than you do!

I'm hoping to come off MJ when I get to target and then do my utmost to maintain it. I don't want to be on MJ long term.

I think I was hoping for a huge loss so quick. I'm definitely eating less!! I had sickness on d1 5mg but that was because I upped my dose from 2.5mg
Slow and steady win the race I guess 😃 hopefully i can get another 7 off by the end of the month.

I lived with pants like this for years and then suddenly decided to just buy a couple of multi packs from Tesco or M&S - so cheap and comfortable and easy to upgrade in future when richer/slimmer! I like the high leg/up to the belly button ones. Treat yourself, don't wait!

I’ve just finished week 8 and lost 2lbs this week, which gives me a total of 23lbs so far. I’m really pleased. So happy with how MJ works for me. I can still eat good sized portions and don’t have side effects at all, but it does help my willpower I think. I have stayed on 5mg for my next pen too, but have a couple more weeks on this one if I do another golden dose. I might get more suppression if I go up to 7.5mg, but at the moment I don’t feel like I even want suppression. I’m losing an average of 2lbs loss a week as I am. My m starting to see a little difference, which is nice, but I still haven’t dropped a size yet (think I was cramming myself into the wrong size!). Still got a LONG way to go!

5mg update for those who want to know!
I take my 2nd dose of 5mg tomorrow. The first week i def had some decent but managable nausea for the first 2 days. Since then i've been fine. Had some headaches but I've not been drinking enough water so could be down to that. Not sure about supression still... i def get full quicker that before but i am still wanting food at 'normal' times. The thing i have noticed is just a general disinterest in food. I don't have any cravings for specific things and therefore makes me feel really blah about food in general, which is actually quite helpful!

@RatherTardy I chucked out a pair of giant underwear this morning! Had them since pregnancy and postpartum days and noticed that they were baggy and basically covered not only my arse but up to my bra band too 😂 they were faded and ugly too! Hurrah for new (and smaller) nickers 🎉

@MtKiloMounjaro thanks for the update! Good to know! I'm supposed to jab my last 2.5 friday evening but I'll be out eating and drinking all weekend and initially thought I'd leave it till sunday then hit 3.75 next friday but am scared of the dosage levels! Might just jab thursday evening then move the 3.75 to thursday next week too.

@lw88x and the other slow losers, I know it's frustrating and would be easy to give up now. But if you don't, in another 7 weeks you could be lighter than you are now and that's surely much better than staying the same, or getting bigger. Much love to you x
