wk 1 day 4 supression seeems to be upping for me now last few days so that’s good and a shift of 2lb on the scales this week. A bit random I’ve had a few nosebleeds past 3 weeks and last 3 days twice a day . Don’t suffer with nosebleeds in fact I’ve never had them . Googled it and doesn’t seem to be a known side effect so maybe just coincidence. Anyone had a similar experience? Checked blood pressure and all is good . 🤔

That’s awful. Have they had your money?

Yup

Could it be the heat?

Ooof. Did my first 5mg jab last night. Was debating sticking with 2.5 or stepping up gently, but then yesterday I was in full on fridge raiding mode so thought I’d give 5mg a try this week as at least the children are in school still if side effects grim.

very light headed this morning. Had a protein yoghurt with a bit of fruit. Not remotely hungry at lunchtime but took a plate of chicken and veg. Stomach churned at the thought of roasties or gravy or anything other than plain greens. Only managed half of it. On 2.5 I wasn’t particularly hungry but I could still eat to sensible amount. But if this stays like this I’m really going to struggle. kicking myself for not sticking with 2.5 and willpower instead.

anyone found any nice low volume high protein and fibre bits?

Whole grains are both, quinoa, chickpeas, lentils. Brocolli, cottage cheese, chia seeds, fish, eggs. Nuts like almonds (or unsweetened almond milk).

I'm really enjoying the back pepper ryvita with light soft cheese, ham and cucumber for my lunches atm. I have 4. 24g protein and about 5g fibre

Ah no, this is what I'm scared of with moving up to 5mg. Done 2 pens on 2.5 and the 5mg arrived today so might need to look at 45 clicks to ease into it. One more 2.5 dose to go with me next week before I move up. Hope it eases for you and is only like this for the initial phase. I can see how people lose quickly if it puts you off food that much!!

SewerOrLess · 13/07/2025 15:27

Going up to 5mg made eating 3 meals a struggle for the first few days after a jab - so 800-900 cals max. By the end of the week I am back to 1200, although even then I can not finish stuff, and then curse I have to rejig my MFP entry to what I actually ate. The concept of not finishing a meal is not one I'm used to!

Asda have sent me a £10 voucher for my next pen, I think I'm going to stick at 5mg rather than go down.

Sam187 · 13/07/2025 15:33

I'm W6D6, first week on 3.75mg (from 5mg pen). The first day I was feeling pretty lousy and in hindsight a contributing factor was definitely that I just couldn't get enough food in. Cals were way too low and I felt very nauseous.

It passed after day 2 though and gradually as the week has gone on, I've managed to hit my cals for the day 1200-1400. I've even managed a few drinks a couple of sunny evenings, a few too many drinks last night. Expected an absolutely brutal hangover, but I'm actually fine, a little tired but nothing unmanageable and haven't filled myself with the usual junk I would. Think I'll ride out 3.75mg for another few weeks.

Overall I'm 22lbs down so far (5 pre-MJ) so totalling 17lbs in the first 6/7wks of this journey. Can't complain at all ☺️

belladeli · 13/07/2025 16:23

I've a noticed a big drop in suppression. Was on .25 of Wegovey, still have 2 weeks left of my 2nd pen. Presumably I can't take 2 shots to make 0.5g this week?

HereWeGoooovy · 13/07/2025 17:13

@belladeli same here. W3 D3 on Wegovy and more than able to finish meals and push through the full feeling. During the first week there’s no way I’d be able to do that and would’ve had to have stopped.

I’m on holiday though and will be for my 4th 0.25 jab. But my catch up with my doctor is just after that and the plan was always to double the dose every 4 weeks so guess I’ll hang in there. Need to get used to using willpower rather than jabs anyway I suppose.

Radiatorvalves · 13/07/2025 17:22

I’m going to be on holiday without any reliable fridges (expecting 35/40 degrees) and so won’t be able to take 7th jab on time. I’m still on 2.5 and it’s going really well so I don’t think this will be problematic. Other than me melting 🥵 that is. Has anyone else taken a break like that? Intending to try and carry on eating sensibly. Maybe drinking a little more (I’ve gone right off booze(.

belladeli · 13/07/2025 17:30

@HereWeGoooovy I've slipped right back into snacking!

When I go to Southern Africa in Sept I plan on getting a frio case for my pen. As long as it’s started before I go away I don’t need to keep it in the fridge, just below 30 degrees.

I still haven’t decided what to do while we go on holiday. Part of me thinks to jab a day early before we go and then go without while we’re away (for 12 days). This would allow me to potentially enjoy my food the second half of the holiday while the jab wears off. I also wouldn’t face any awkward questions at security from my 2 young adult daughters!

However, I’m making steady progress with my weight loss and I don’t want to jeopardise the good work already done if I don’t take it as normal.

Xmasfairy86 · 13/07/2025 18:30

today I’m currently on under 600 cals. The heat is killing me!! Went to the gym for the air conditioning 😜 and struggled due to not having eaten enough. Picked up an Apple half hour ago, it’s still in front of me

HereWeGoooovy · 13/07/2025 18:52

@Card1gan and @Radiatorvalves Im currently abroad and have just used one of the Frio cases that @FoxRedPuppy talks about.

it’s really good. You just immerse it in cold water for a few mins then use it. So you can keep putting it in cold water if you think it’s getting too warm. I’ve put it in the tiny tiny fridge we've got here just in case but I reckon it’d be fine just in the cooling wallet.

@belladeli same 🙄. The scoffing/self-loathing cycle doesn’t feel as distant as it did in week 1….

MissMogs · 10/07/2025 18:51

I still haven’t felt full quickly, or full at all. But until today I was missing that rumbly tummy feeling, so hunger and cravings were easier! Today - W4D4 - it returned!
I know I’m a broken record with this but STILL can’t decide whether to go to 5mg or count 45 clicks for 3.75…I’m a rule follower so want to do what the manufacturer says and go to 5! But I’m going on holiday next week and don’t want nasty SE which seem common when people move up to 5. Decisions decisions!

I’m thinking of doing the same and am also such a rule follower 🫣 but I’m hoping a month on 3.75 will help with the SE - I haven’t had much in the way of SE yet, a bit of nausea the day after jabbing and a bit tired but doubling the dose feels like a lot 😬

Boxingshibes · 13/07/2025 19:45

W4d2 been on 2.5 but have had no appetite till the last couple of days of the week. Haven't eaten bread or cheese.so shocked as I lived on that before
Its a struggle to eat.
No side effects lost 5kg but not sure if that's good enough?
Will be going up to 5mg on Friday.

5kg is loads to lose in a month, it’s almost a stone!

I decided to go for 3.75 in the end. I considered “worst case” scenarios for both and for me that pointed to not taking the risk ahead of a holiday. Only took it yesterday morning and so far feeling ok apart from about an hour of queasiness this morning. At that moment I was pleased I hadn’t jumped to 5 though! Especially thinking about being stuck in the car in the heat!

MissMogs · 13/07/2025 20:08

I’m taking a Frio pouch away with me. I’ll stick with 3.75 while I’m away but if minimal SE I’ll increase to 5 when I get back.

DD517 · 13/07/2025 20:26

Aunt Flo finally arrived! 8 days late!

SE from 5mg this week, was just slight queasiness but nothing too bad.

My friend has been on 5mg for 4 months, and struggled for the first few weeks on 5 with SE then just stopped. Shes not had to increase and has lost something like 32lbs so far!

ThisNeedsToWork · 13/07/2025 20:32

@FoxRedPuppy, I took 2.5 from my 5mg pen last week and after intense suppression from pen 1, I was expecting the same but my suppression has dramatically waned this week and I’ve been snacking too much. Going to opt for 3.75 tonight!
