Do you notice other people around you getting slimmer and wondering if they too are jabbers ? 🤔
I’ve just attended my DS after school art exhibition and noticed some other mums looking much slimmer, very confident and smiley and immediately wanted to ask but then realised they may be offended . I myself can’t wait for someone to ask me …. I will be like “ hell yeah I’m a jabber “ 😂

I think this a lot about people!

I definitely have a jab-dar these days. There are two women on my street who def look like they could be but I would never ask. I still don’t know what I would say if asked as I’m always so worried about what people think of me I hate the idea of being judged (although my sensible brain knows it doesn’t matter)

I’m a bit worried as I missed the delivery of my new pen today: the courier kept changing the time and eventually I couldn’t put off going out. Of course, they attempted delivery while I was out Angry

Supposedly they’ll try again tomorrow. But I’m worried about it being out of the fridge, and in this heat!

I’ve missed a delivery - it’ll be fine

W6D5 for me
15lb down which I don't think is two bad.
Went up to 5mg - will be stopping on that for month 3.
Bit sad that food does not appeal anymore. And when 8 do have something 'bad' like a pasty it just doesn't taste the same and can have a bit of a funny feel - sort of a gritty texture so not appealing. I did have some dirty fries yesterday (but could only eat about 1/4 ) and I had a mint choc chips milk shake which was yummy ( unusual beverage for me as I'm normally not keen milk!) - 1st chocolate in nearly 7 weeks

The dog has eaten my tea tonight (Tuna salad) as I could only manage about 1/3. I'd had sushi at lunch so maybe I was a bit fished out.

For anyone struggling with bowel movements I can recommend Psyllium Husk. I dont take it all the time, just one dose a couple of times a week when I feel I need help. I'm fairly religiously taking between 7 and 10 soft dried prunes per day though!.

So the WLIs are working, but I've lost almost all interest in food and supermarket shopping is a depressing business.

UglyBastardFace · 11/07/2025 21:57

W5 D7 and today went down from 5mg to 3.75mg after some terrible nausea and exhaustion last week. Lost 1 stone and am delighted but slow and steady is what wins the race!

Up2date · 12/07/2025 02:12

Wk4 2.5mg no SE 3kg down seems like a lot of people have a bad time when increasing to 5mg, should I stay on the 2.5mg which suits me, definitely reduced appetite, or increase to the 5mg

DD517 · 10/07/2025 21:36

Anyone else had a delayed period? Normally like clockwork but it's vanished! Even though i've had all the signs aunt flo was on her way!

I’ve not had one since starting so definitely skipped a month. But I’m peri so it’s not unusual.

bearing in mind the effects mounjaro can have on birth control though, if you’re active, take a test.

DownhillAllTheWay · 12/07/2025 06:12

W5D1 here. 1 stone loss in my first month, which I’m chuffed about. Still got decent appetite suppression, but eating 12-1400 cals a day, protein rich. Have a 5mg pen ready to go later but like lots of us not sure if to stick at 2.5 or go up. Don’t want to struggle to eat. But would be nice to lose that little voice which still nags at me to nibble and munch. It’s easier to ignore it on 2.5 but I wonder what it’s like if it goes away altogether? Think k will try 5 later but be ready to cut back next week if needed. Maybe.

W6 D7 - 7th jab tonight.
weighed in at 100.6 - SOOOOO close to that under 100 club 😂😂 considered running on the spot and re-weighing but it’s far too hot for that!!

You’ll be there before you know it! Have a big 💩!

MissMogs · 12/07/2025 10:22

Finally settled on just doing 45 clicks from the 5mg pen. Holiday next week and it felt too risky to go to 5 after reading so many bad reactions! I hope this will give me greater and longer-lasting suppression.
Weight up slightly this morning which was a bit disappointing but overall it’s a downward trend.

Morning June Jabbers. So I have come to the end of my first 4 weeks and I am 13lbs lighter than when I started. Obviously very happy with that … but it has only brought me back to where I have been for most of the last few years. So no one will start noticing any difference in my appearance for some time yet. But that’s fine, I’m doing this for a combination of health and vanity reasons. I’m staying on 2.5mg for this month and seeing how things go.

Loathe and detest feeling sweaty so keeping a low profile whilst it’s as hot as it is. Hope you all have a lovely weekend 😎

I was 14.1 on Wednesday and I was almost excited at the idea of hitting 13 st something today even if it was 13.9999999. Alas no. My weighing scales app does a little graph- the 3 month version looks brilliant, the last week not so. However I don't actually mind that much which I suppose is a massive improvement in how I feel about my weight 😀

FoxRedPuppy · 12/07/2025 11:59

I meant to get up early today and go for a run, but I didn’t 😂

W4D6. I’ve lost 7.1lg now. I’m so unsure about 2.5 or 5 on Monday. I drinking noticed less suppression and a bit more hunger this week. But not to the point I over ate. And I’ve lost quite quickly, which I don’t love. I was so certain I was moving to 5mg and now I don’t know!

Especially as my side effects have pretty much gone.

Just taken the first jab of my 5mg pen and decided to do the full dose, having done 5 doses of 2.5mg for the first 5 weeks (golden dose out of the first pen). Bit nervous of potential SE, so am prepared to take a reduced dose next week if need be. I'm in my sixties so want to do this slowly as this is for the rest of my life - I'm doing it to remain as healthy as I can as I age.

Is anyone doing 5:2 fasting in conjunction with MJ? I was just wondering if this could be a good option if I go up to 5mg next month.

I read somewhere that there isn't really any need to fast with MJ. Something along the lines of your digestion is slowed massively by the drug anyway, so why mess with it more by fasting. I think if anything they recommend smaller, more frequent meals spaced out over the day so your body has a steady source of energy. It feels like it would be easy to fast, without the hunger, but I suppose if you think long term is it better just to get in the habit of eating smaller portions etc.
I dunno, just my thoughts! I'm sure some people are fasting, even if it's not on purpose

Oh that is interesting and make sense! Thank you. I generally do 16:8 fasting anyway so was just thinking about the other types of fasting. Sounds like it’s best to just stick to the same calorie deficit each day than try something more drastic.

Emas82 · 12/07/2025 13:25

@BadgerFaceif you are used to doing 16:8 and generally do that when you're not "dieting", like, don't normally have breakfast or whatever, it's probably fine to carry on.
But wouldn't it be lovely if we all learned to eat our nutritious meals 3 times a day with the occasional snack? I know that's what I'm aiming for!

Emas82 · 12/07/2025 13:26

@BadgerFacealso sorry if I'm coming across a bit preachy, I'm trying not to, just sharing my thoughts ❤️

BadgerFace · 12/07/2025 13:29

Thanks @Emas82, read in the spirit it was intended! I’ve never really eaten breakfast apart from a bit of toast at the weekend/when hungover so it’s a normal pattern for me. Eating nut bars mid-morning had crept up along with other snacking in the past year or two which resulted in me putting on a stone so just trying to get back to better habits for sure whilst on MJ!

BoredReceptionist · 12/07/2025 13:56

Third time lucky with this, I put it on thread 3, then started a thread 4 having missed this one!!

7th injection this morning, 6th weigh in. I’ve stayed with 2.5 as the suppression is really good still. I’ve lost a total of 1st 3lbs. Starting weight 15st1, current weight 13st 12 (goal probably 10st 7 ish). I’m over the moon to be honest, it’s such a relief to finally find something that works! I’m exercising, drinking loads of water, eating sensibly with occasional treats and I think I’ve been incredibly lucky with next to no side effects. My pens have come from Medexpress and then IQDoctor to use discounts I’d found, but I plan to switch to Lotus I think as they guarantee a maintenance plan for when I reach target.
Randomly, I’ve started getting news articles in my facebook feed featuring PTs moaning that people are using MJ as a quick fix. Idiots!!
