Hi All ,
wk 5 day 6
I had really good loss first couple of weeks but last 3 weeks it’s half a pound a pound then half a pound . I weighed yesterday and a pound off again which is good but as I’ve been struggling to eat it’s seems not much. When I am busy and I am trying to cram all my calories in at the end of the day it just doesn’t work. So yesterday I had all my calories I ate 3 meals and snacks and even a couple of glasses of wine which I don’t normally do . Weighed again this morning and that 1lb loss is now a 3lb loss. I felt so full I was sure I would have gained. Now I realise how mad our bodies are , so this weekend I am meal planning so I have meals to take to work , Days out food if needed, breakfast lunch and dinners. Now cooking some breakfast muffins great little protein breakfast and I have some for the weekend and to freeze, nice for a snack too. Im so good with water usually 3-4 litres a day . I forgot how important the food part is. I am now only 2lbs away from a new stone bracket . Very excited and gave away 6 black sacks of clothes that I’ve grown out of . No going back this time !! 😁

That sounds a good plan. You need to correctly fuel your body. I’ve read so many threads on here with people almost boasting that they only eat 800/1000 calories a day now. It’s not good for your body and it’s not retraining your metabolism and mentality to eat sensibly.

healthjourney · 02/08/2025 11:02

@SomethingAboutYou thanks so much 😊 I set some mini goals when I started to break up the big journey and losing 10% was one. Next is another 5lbs away which will be half way through and the weight I was when I got married 16 years ago!
Has anyone else got any mini goals they are working towards?

magnoliaday · 02/08/2025 11:13

Decided to stick at 7.5 mg as feeling good on it and lost about 2.5 lb this week

FoxRedPuppy · 02/08/2025 11:16

I track calories, but mostly I’m looking to hit my protein and fibre targets. So I log on nutracheck, and mostly I’m looking at getting enough (left to my own devices I could easily eat only 900 calories), but that I’m getting near to 90g protein, it tracks my portions of fruit and veg and encourages me to ensure I’ve eaten enough of that too.

@healthjourney yes I've got mini goals too. The obvious ones (half a stone and stones) and then my first one is 2lbs away, the next one is pre-baby weight and 10% body weight off. And then it's the weight I got married at, which is about 20lbs away from the pre-baby weight goal 🫣 i'd really like to fit into my wedding dress again. I was a size 12 so it's not impossible 💪

MissMogs · 02/08/2025 19:14

Anyone else not really feeling the loss yet? I’ve lost 8% of my body weight, and although there was that one pair of trousers I got into, nothing else feels loose or any different really! Am I expecting too much too soon? I started mid June, so maybe I’m comparing to others who started at the start of the month? Will my clothes all start falling off in the next 2 weeks?! (Half joking…)

I started May 30th and can honestly say I only really noticed the difference today. Thats after 20 pounds loss. I saw a difference across my shoulders and dared to try on a pair of trousers I'd not had on in 3 years - they fit!

SomethingAboutYou · 02/08/2025 19:39

I think it probably depends on your shape, height and the clothes you wear. I started 30th May so not technically a June starter but seemed more appropriate to be on this thread. I fit into a certain pair of trousers within 6 weeks as they sit quite low on the biggest part of my belly which deflated quite quickly. My high waisted wide leg jeans have only started getting baggy this week (week9). Some tops feel like normal and I tried a jumper on earlier and felt really frumpy and uncomfortable in it, but then my denim jacket fits again around my arms and shoulders and feels amazing. I'm 5ft 1 so I think the change will possibly effect me quickly as my body is short so any losses from one area is more concentrated (that's how I see it anyway) 🤷‍♀️

Kangarude · 01/08/2025 22:20

Thank you, yes it is very disheartening, but I haven’t given up hope that 7.5 will work 🤞🏽

I have a spreadsheet where I record everything I eat and drink, my mood, any side effects, whether I drank 2.5l or more of water, how hungry I was or wasn’t, the day of my cycle I’m on… everything.

Calories are counted, my daily target is 1200, anything up to 1400 is fine, days where I eat below 900 or above 1800 are automatically coloured red…

it really helps me stay on track and notice what’s going on with my body, and any patterns.

shifting12345 · 02/08/2025 20:45

We got back from a 3 week all inclusive this evening… happy to report that I’ve managed to lose 1.5lbs despite the daily boozing 😂

Also, my body composition has changed so I’ve actually lost 2lb of fat and gained a little bit of muscle.

Pretty pleased considering I’ve not been to the gym for 3 weeks and didn’t feel like I was missing out too much.

Gingercar · 02/08/2025 20:56

Coming back from holiday with a loss or a minimal gain is fabulous.

@Bloozie i agree. Writing what you’ve eaten and any exercise is good. I have a journal.

RJmama · 02/08/2025 22:21

I tried Me360, thanks for the recommendations on here. Need to work on getting the body fat % down, unsurprisingly, but it wasn’t as high as I feared.

Interestingly it’s showing that one of my legs is thinner than the other: I had a bad injury a few years ago and lost a lot of muscle mass on the affected leg. Clearly it hasn’t fully caught up, though it’s a fairly small difference. I wouldn’t have said there was any real difference between them now though (compared to the chicken leg I had for a long time!).

Pennina · 02/08/2025 22:44

The plateau finally shifted and I’ve lost 2lb this week. I’m on week 6 day 5, moved to 5mg last week. 2lb off my 1st target of 1 stone off. I’ve noticed clothing not as clingy and also a little more energy and stamina when tackling the veg plot and also going up stairs is easier.

thanks for the support and wise advice from those who told me to hold my nerve.

That's interesting that it's picked that up. I have a love hate relationship with that offensive little avatar 😂. It's coming in mostly in all the right places so far - but my thighs appear to be getting bigger. Likely cause I'm on day 89 of hitting my step target 😆.

Interestingly, it has said my chest had came down a good amount. I was measured in May and was a 42D with a back extender - so sad. Got measured today cause I didn't feel much support (and out of curiosity) and I'm now a 38F. Gone down almost 3 back sizes, good little NSV. 🎉

Xmasfairy86 · 02/08/2025 23:02

Just went to prime my pen and I thought it looked like it was really low on fluid considering I’ve only had one dose. It was my 2.5mg pen that I didn’t throw out last week 🤦🏽‍♀️ then I panicked thinking I’d thrown the 5mg one away instead!! After some careful thinking I remembered I moved its storage place in the garage 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️😂 MUST DISCARD WHEN IM DONE!!!

side note : we had Chinese tonight, I feel so sick

BadgerFace · 03/08/2025 07:02

@Xmasfairy86 that sounds very panic inducing!

Itsjunedeer · 03/08/2025 10:02

Weekly check in. Always read along so thank you to everyone who posts as it’s good to hear how everyone is finding things, tips and observations we can all benefit from 👍
I have ordered my first 5mg pen. I think it’s definitely time for me to move up. When I look at the bigger picture I can see that I have lost a good amount of weight in the 7 weeks but somehow it is still feeling quite a slow process. I think once I am through the next stone I will feel better as that will take me into a weight bracket I haven’t seen since before the millennium!

@flameprincess I think holiday weight should come off as quickly as you put on as some will be water weight etc from drinking. I put on a pound on my holiday, had lost it within a couple of days by my next weigh in and then dropped 2 more the following week after being back on no snacking and back off (most) alcohol. It’s reversible!

My NSV today is being back in jeans I’d been wearing for years until about 4 months ago when I had to go up a jeans size. That was my catalyst for starting to think about how much weight I’d put on in the last couple of years and then my friend said I could consider MJ… which took me a while to think about. Now I wish I’d seen her earlier to recommend!

Thank you for this, you were so right. Weighed myself this morning and the 2kg magically had disappeared, I must have been holding onto it from swollen limbs from the sheer amount of walking we did but a few days off the beer too has sorted me out. Relieved to be back on track!

I was cabin crew for over two decades. If I weighed myself the day I came home it was always more. You swell and hold water on a plane.

MissMogs · 03/08/2025 13:44

Weighed myself again this morning and somehow 1.5kg up!! I know weight fluctuates but I’m just going to pretend that didn’t happen and not write it down…
IQ doc still haven’t sent my new pen! I’m glad I ordered the needles for the golden dose as it’s looking like I’ll need that!

Gingercar · 03/08/2025 14:28

Oh that’s annoying. I was thinking about ordering from them. I guess not much will happen over the weekend.

waitingforlifeonmars · 03/08/2025 16:02

Wk 9 12.25lbs down.

Well, just done my first golden dose. Thanks to reading others experiences- I knew the fluid would draw very slowly up, I just didn’t realise how slowly until I did it! Drew 0.7ml, flicked and primed to 0.6ml and then looked at the needle and really had to psych myself up- because that needle looks huge compared to the 4ml ones!!! 😩 Anyway, I managed it! Just got to be prepared for next weeks constipation now!!

BadgerFace · 03/08/2025 17:53

Well done @waitingforlifeonmars! The insulin needles do look a bit intimidating compared to the normal MJ ones but great to get through the first one, the second one is much easier, less psyching up I found last week…

MissMogs · 03/08/2025 18:29

Do you have to poke the longer needles in further, or only as far as the little screw on ones go in?

ChiaraMontague · 03/08/2025 18:59

I’ve been a little bit up and down for the last week or so, I seem to keep bouncing up and down by 0.2kg and then a few days later will have a definitive 0.5kg loss. I did my final injection of 5mg on Friday and I decided to move up to 7.5mg so will see how that goes.

I’ve also been having hormonal acne breakouts mainly around my jaw. I’ve been reading a bit about this and it seems that this can be a side effect of weight loss as it causes estrogen fluctuations. I’m really hoping it calms down over the next couple of months!
