Into our second month now!

@BadgerFace I’ve tried arm, thigh and tummy and found no difference with any so stick with tummy as it’s easiest for me

I've just injected 2.5mg into my stomach under the belly button (at least 3 inches under) and it's immediately turned blue around the area and had slight swelling. Also minor itch. I'm talking 1 or 2 mins after.

Is this normal?! I have always done thigh up until now!

Not happened to me on my stomach, but I always get a bruise wherever I do it

Any more reviews of IQ doc? I did the order complete with photos etc yesterday early morning, and it still says under review so I assume not being delivered tomorrow! Getting a bit worried as Pharmacy2U delivered 2 days later both times

Feeling frustrated and disheartened and totally alone on this. Im on W7D2 and lost 1.4kg. I have had no real SE nor do I feel the mounjaro is doing anything. Still feel as hungry as ever and the food noise is strong. As a result I haven't managed to stick to eating healthily or less. Has anyone else found they are coming to the end of the 5mg stage and it's not working?
I know I need to get my head in gear and make sure im eating healthy but the whole point was for this to help me want to do it and it hasn't. Now I dont know if I should continue onto 7.5mg or give up? Anyone felt like this?

@CaptivePeanut sorry, but that's not been my experience, but you're absolutely NOT alone.
I've seen posts by people saying they don't get the suppression until they're on quite high doses. I think if you started a thread you'd get a LOT of solidarity

@CaptivePeanut have you spoken to your provider? You’ve lost 1.4kg in 7 weeks?

Ultimately you need a calorie deficit, so if you haven’t had suppression that isn’t surprising. I’d talk to your provider and get advice.

But I have read that some people need the high doses for it to actually work.

Ive just finished week 10 and haven’t really had tons of suppression so far. At first I was a bit peeved, but actually I have got used to it and quite like that it’s m having to use a bit of my own willpower as well. I am still on 5mg because I don’t want to go up and risk having too much suppression. I’m going to order a 7.5 pen next time but do 5x 6mg doses. I do still get a fair bit of food noise, but seem to be able to quell it with a handful of grapes or a banana. I’m not counting calories at all.

@RatherTardythanks, will look to seek out others who feel the same as all Im getting from these jabs is super tired all the time and irritable because nothing is happening. I know it's not a magic cure but some help from the jab would be really appreciated.

@FoxRedPuppygood shout, I have just emailed them for advice and to see if it's worth going up to 7.5mg early.

@Gingercar yea unfortunately in 7 weeks I have continue to yoyo with 1.4kg loss in total. Now as someone who needs to lose about 10stone, I should have lost more than that by now but nothing has changed both physically or mentally from doing the jabs and therefore feel like I'm back on another yoyo dieting stint 😔 that's good you began to feel it and it's helping, its good your doing it in less increments to avoid any SE and still have the suppression.

Took my first 5mg on Sunday, and honestly this week I feel like I’ve been hit by a train- I’m exhausted and even more constipated plus I’m angry(though this could be because family annoying me)! I’m eating the same amount as I was on earlier doses, so not sure it’s lack of calories, although I had 1 bought of lightheartedness earlier today, I’m drinking loads of water! Every day this week it gets to 3 or 4 pm and I want to go to sleep for a nana nap. Finished work at 4 today and had a 20 min snooze, cooked dinner, ate, then sat down and I was out for about 30 mins and now I think I want to go to bed! I have to drive somewhere about an hour away on Saturday and I’m getting concerned I shouldn’t!

I used them for my first pen, was approved within a day and I probably received it within 4 days maybe. Can’t remember that far back if I’m honest. Definitely wasn’t ages though

@MissMogs ive just ordered 7.5mg as IQ doctor was the cheapest at £119 so will let you know on progress. I’m planning to stick to 5mg but make the pen last longer, worked out it’s only £15 a week this way. Not advising it but I’m happy with the risk

Morning! W9D7 so weigh day and jab evening for me! Lost 0.8lb this week taking me to 16lbs total. I was hoping for a bit more as it's first week on 3.75mg but I've not felt any different on the higher dose. I can still eat anything I want, I still get hungry and although I do sometimes get that very full feeling in the evening, my meals are still regular sized (maybe a bit too big). I also snack, but as I keep track of calories in My Fitness Pal they fit into the 1600 cals (I aim for 1400 but have a little buffer zone). Without myfitnesspal I could easily be eating over the calories. On the plus side, I can feel the positive effects of not wanting to eat everything in sight and eating a small chocolate bar satisfies me now, rather than leaving me wanting (and stuffing) more.

I've lost weight before with myfitnesspal only as my tool and I was yoyoing no end, and stalled at 15st 1. This time, myfitnesspal + mounjaro has taken me past that down to 14st 12 and my 'worst' weeks have still been small losses so I'm feeling positive about my ability to go down to 12st something, which is my dream!

SW: 16st (101.7kg)
CW: 14st 12lbs (94.3kg)

Will stick with the 3.75mg for another week, see if the buildup in my system does anything different, and will hope to hit my first micro goal of 14st 10 within the next 2 weeks 🤞

Not IQ, but when I order with Asda it is a few days. So I ordered last Thursday and it was approved Tuesday I think, ready to collect from Thursday. I like it as it does feel like an actual doctor is looking at it. I always order with 1-2 weeks to go though.

I'm with Asda and I've had 2 reminders to order already and I've only taken 1 dose from my new pen (2nd dose tonight)! They're a bit expensive but I don't know if I have the energy to switch suppliers 😬

Well, I decided to inject 5mg yesterday after a couple of weeks on 3.75mg. Woken this morning at 6am for a toilet dash! Diarrhoea! Luckily I dont have to leave the house today

WK9D1 - Did 2nd dose of 3.75mg before going away on holiday for a week last week, didn't have any side effects like with the first at that dose, but I got back from holiday yesterday and have put on 2kg.

Bit gutted but not shocked. Was doing between 17k-20k steps a day which I had hoped would at least keep me at 'even stevens' upon return, but admittedly I did drink a few beers while away and I guess it just shows how much alcohol makes me pile weight on. 2kg though... I could cry.

Needless to say it gave me the kick up the arse I needed to jump up to 5mg this week without fear, I just want to get back on track now.

Well done to everyone on their losses, and commiserations to those frustrated.

I’ve decided to take the plunge and order 5mg for my next pen. Will probably only take 3.75mg though initially, and see how it goes. I feel like the suppression has decreased a good deal over the past 1-2 weeks, so perhaps a dose increase was needed.

PS If I only take 3.75mg from the 5mg pen, will I still only get 4 doses from the pen? Or does taking 3.75 mean you can get more from the same pen? Sorry for the dumb question…

You can get more from the same pen.

Essentially you have 20mg to play with.

4 x 5mg is what they're designed for.

5 x 3.75mg = 18.75mg is possible.

You will need an additional needle for this fifth dose as only 4 are supplied. If you do decide to go for 5 x 3.75mg, then you're advised to keep the pen in the fridge to prolong the life, rather than outside the fridge.

steady loss (18lbs) but I am feeling really weak and struggle to eat enough, let alone enough protein. On my second month on 5mg and appetite is virtually none. Very tired. Have been trying to keep moving but today is definitely a sofa day. Does it get better? Any tips for easy ways of improving nutrition and upping protein without feeling sick and absolutely stuffed? I’m 71 btw, which probably doesn’t help!

@Maryb54 try vitamin B12 supplement which supports energy.

End of W6 and I have lost one pound - making a total loss of 14 pounds (a stone!!🥳). Am well pleased. So just jabbed my second dose of 5mg and I have to say that side effects so far have been minimal - for which I’m very grateful. My provider keeps emailing me to remind me to reorder! Am in two minds whether to stick with 5mg or take the next step up to 7.5mg. Will see how it goes next week.

@Sogfree thanks for this. Will one of the needles supplied with the pen work for the fifth dose, or will I need to get some insulin needles? I actually have spare needles (the ones you screw directly onto the pen & then administer), as my supplier always sends a few extra when they ship the pen itself.

I always keep my pen in the fridge, so that part isn’t an issue.

I forgot one NSV: I wore a sports bra today that a few weeks ago, I could not do up around the back. And it was pretty comfy. Even managed to get it off again without dislocating a shoulder
