That’s a great price at Zava, thank you!

@RJmama it’s just the app for my Renpho scale. I have no idea how accurate it is though sorry.

I never knew this, I asked chat gpt if it could work it out for me.

Required Information:

  1. Your Dose Amount (e.g. 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, etc.)
  2. Date and Time of Last Injection
  3. How Many Doses You’ve Taken So Far (e.g. Is this your first dose or have you been on it for weeks/months?)
  4. Your Weight (kg or lbs) – helpful if we want to estimate drug concentration in plasma.
  5. (Optional but helpful) Your Age and Sex – small factors in PK modeling.
I told it my answers and it worked out I had As of 12:00 PM on July 23rd, you have approximately 4.0 mg of Mounjaro (tirzepatide) remaining in your system.

Which is quite interesting. It could probably estimate the amount in your system if you were wanting to know to plan on holidays. Get a forecast!

If you download the Shotsy app and enter your jabs it gives you a graph of the build up and you can even enter the next Jab to see it. It’s free.

I'm wearing a pair of shorts that have been too tight on me for the last 8 years! 🎉🎉🎉

That’s brilliant, well done!

HappyWineDay · 24/07/2025 08:19

I thought I might say something regarding extracting the 5th dose for those who have found difficulty.
First, there’s no need to push air in using your syringe. Just pull back slowly and steadily and the plunger will come down.
what we have to remember is that the medicine is slightly thicker than water and that needle is tiny.
Imagine trying to suck up Golden Syrup through a straw! So as I say, just pull back slowly and steadily and that plunger will slowly come down. You’re not doing anything wrong, it’s not the movies!
Hope that’s useful.

FoxRedPuppy · 24/07/2025 09:06

Holiday abroad- I always (even preMJ) mostly eat Greek salads, fish, steak, grilled meats etc. with salad. Is there really nothing to eat?

I haven’t snacked at all for the whole time, I just don’t need to. I have still eaten some bread and cheese, just much less. I wouldn’t ruin a holiday by not eating nice food. I’ve been out for curries, and at weekend went out to having sharing charcuterie boards of meats and cheeses. And a small amount of bread!

What is on offer at the restaurants?

Advice please.

I've had 1 3.75 dose from my 1st 5mg pen. I'm a little constipated, but nothing terrible. I'm due to jab tomorrow.

In 2 weeks time I'm off to stay with my partners family for the first time. I've never met any of them. That in itself means I'm a little on edge. But my worse nightmare is the entire week there I'm decorating their toilet bowl with a loose MJ bowel. Or having nausea. Or any other side effect.

I want to go up to the full 5mg tomorrow, as the suppression was wearing off yesterday. But the idea of side effects when away bothers me.

What would you do?

Inspired by my shorts fitting back on me yesterday, I went for the full 5mg dose. Bring it on (but not in the middle of Oasis tomorrow!)

I jabbed 30 mins ago. I've now got the metallic taste in my mouth - a SE I've never experienced before. 🤞🏻 it's the only new SE I get on 5mg

Xmasfairy86 · 24/07/2025 09:42

still on the saga of 'under 100kg' - it flashed 99 this morning before settling firmly on 100.1!!!! I tried several times, it was having none of it!

BadgerFace · 24/07/2025 09:49

W9D1 Jab on 2.4mg

SW 12 Stone 2
CW 11 Stone 3
GW 10 Stone 5

I am pleased that after my 1 lb gain post-holiday on Tuesday morning I’ve finished my MJ week 1 lb down from before I went on holiday despite the drinking and snacking. Now back to being committed to being good and no events so a few weeks off drinking after a hectic June.

So hopefully to get 1lb down this week to reach a stone lost!

Thank you. Evening meals were grilling chicken so that’s ok, it’s just packed lunches I’m finding hard to plan!

I go hiking at weekends quite a bit and I still take a sandwich as it’s the easiest thing to pack and eat. I use decent bread and only eat too I’m full (sometimes only half the sarnie). Otherwise stuff like salad and couscous. Put plenty of cooked meats in or feta, and a salad fills me up now.

I’m still managing to eat everything I was, much smaller portions and don’t always fancy unhealthy foods, but when I’ve eaten them I haven’t had any negative side effects so you might be ok

Thank you .
I did the air thing and the syringe resisted and i ended up losing my 5th dose as it came out the bottom .
Will have to do better next time

Bloozie · 24/07/2025 15:05

W5D5. Remained on 2.5mg. Not hungry in the slightest, can't stop thinking about food. Specifically bready carbs. I think I've reached my meat and salad/veg limit and just need to power on through.

Catladyof7 · 24/07/2025 15:06

I also had the saga of the scales sticking at 12 stone 1lb for a while.
Got on the scales first thing this morning and it said …11stone 13.5 lbs 🍾🍾🍾
I tried a pair of trousers on i went out for a meal in at Easter where they fitted me well ,very slightly tight.
Today i can pull them down completely still fastened !
First stone down.
3 to go .

RJmama · 24/07/2025 15:11

Went for a swim today and my swim fins kept slipping off: is it possible my ankles are skinnier 😅 hadn’t used them for a few weeks and the slipping hadn’t been much of an issue before. NSV of sorts? 😅

DH said being concerned about skinny ankles made me sound like some Victorian lady 😂

not sure about ankles but my feet have 100% slimmed down and I’ve only lost 12lb overall! I bought some sample sale sandals that were not returnable. 6 weeks ago they made my feet look like they were squished in like a ham. Now they look much nicer and fit loosely. Very happy as I was at the point of giving them away or selling them.

I'm sure my ankles looked slimmer after the first week, fluid retention maybe? Inflammation?

RJmama · 24/07/2025 16:15

@Focusispower & @Emas82 thanks, glad it wasn’t a completely daft thought! Probably a reduction in inflammation/fluid, you’re right.

We can describe ourselves as "dainty" now!! 🤣

SomethingAboutYou · 24/07/2025 16:55

@RJmama haha victorian lady! I've always had skinny ankles which I used to be very proud of, until I dislocated my ankle and as a result broke my leg! Now I have one skinny ankle and one puffy granny ankle 🤣 my wide feet could do with a little reducing though!

@Xmasfairy86 you're nearly there! Fingers crossed for next week!

I'm in a quandry. I took my last 2.5mg dose a day early last week so instead of Friday evening, I took it Thursday evening. So now do I go up to 3.75 this evening or stick to Fridays?! I have a family day out tomorrow and Saturday so neither option helps if I end up with any side effects. Thankfully Tuesday's 💩 episode only lasted a couple of hours and I've been fine since. Obviously as I've been fretting about when to jab I'm feeling a tad nauseous now, I'm pretty sure it's all in my head though 🤦‍♀️

MtKiloMounjaro · 24/07/2025 17:03

After a week of nausea I took my third dose of 5mg and I feel great today! Also got to my lowest weight for years!!
Officially 1st lost in 7 weeks! Woo!

For my first month on 2.5, I took each dose a day early to bring back the dose day by a few days before going on holiday. It felt more sensible than just taking the last dose several days early. No issues at all. So do what works for you!
