I went over by five days on my first pen. No issues.

Sounds like you're having a difficult time. I would say good for you on avoiding the snacks in the car, this is where all those hidden calories come from. If you can avoid those naughty in-between snacks, then be kind to yourself and enjoy eating out with the family. Just try to be mindful and aim for the healthy (or least naughty!) menu items and enjoy it. For example, if we go for a family Indian curry, I choose the tandoori chicken option or something else on a skewer cooked in the tandoor oven, rather than something in an oily sauce, and I avoid the rice and breads. But I still enjoy the occasion.
So the main thing I would say is that you should allow yourself to properly enjoy your holiday. And if you've put a little weight on when you get back, then don't worry, it'll soon go again.

Thank you for your kind words!
I’ve been picking up yoghurt at every service station but don’t know what else would fill me up.
does anyone have any tips for light lunches abroad? Veggies and hoummus aren’t cutting it and I can’t have the usual ALL THE CHEESE with lovely crusty bread and lashings of butter…

MtKiloMounjaro · 23/07/2025 14:15

Guys I need your help.
I'm due to take my 3rd jab of 5mg. I feel like I've been nauseous all week and feel 'off'.
I'm not losing weight and my appetite isn't surpressed.
I just don't know if this will pass or just get worse if I jab again today.
I'm not on my death bed, just hate feeling nauseous.
Feeling pretty miserable 😞

Thank you. I'll be over 6 days, so seems okay. I was just appalled by 5mg being £145. What is everyone else paying?

Also, can someone confirm if 30 clicks is 3.75mg? Thanks

30 clicks on a 5mg pen is 2.5mg
45 clicks on a 5mg pen is 3.75mg
60 clicks on a 5mg pen is 5mg

Just wanted to post my experience of moving up a dose. Took first 7.5 on Sunday as with every jab so far been so tired could nap all day🫣 not had any other side suppression is strong reminding myself to eat. I have noticed though nothing tastes as good as it used too

How are you getting on?

So if it were me, I'd happily have the cheese. OK, it's a few calories but it's full of protein and no carbs. Similarly, I'd happily eat charcuterie and olives, because I'm on holiday! And it's still low carb.
However, delicious as it is (and it certainly is delicious!), and difficult as it is, I'd personally avoid that bread!
I'd then happily accept any potential couple of extra pounds. Don't ruin your holiday 👍

I’m with Pharmulous and I’ve just ordered my 2nd 5mg pen at £133 (I had a 5% discount code) I’m planning to stay on 3.75mg so I get 5 doses from the pen and still stay within the 30 days.

Give it another day or two perhaps? Have you been eating anything that might make you nauseous?

No I don't think so.
I'll jab again with 5mg and hope it passes

What country are you in?

Grapes are one of my go to snacks- especially if you can’t get anything else down you. Vitamins and liquid with healthy sugar for energy. Sometimes a soft cheese with a quality seeded cheese biscuit is an easy on the hoof snack. (Bearing in mind that I don’t count calories).

Namechange1281 · 23/07/2025 16:33

I’m on W6D4 and have had terrible nausea and diarrhoea since going to 5mg on W5. I dropped down to 3.75mg on W6 but it’s just as bad. I’m not sleeping due to getting up several times in the night with diarrhoea, and feel really nauseous all day. I don’t think I can stick it out much longer, it’s absolutely miserable.

Does this pass?

Good a steady loss so in the 9 weeks just got to the stone mark. Really have to remind myself to eat as supression is high but have had a easy ride with SE so far touch wood

you poor thing, that sounds awful. Other people will hopefully have more experience of this, but could you miss a jab completely then drop back to 2.5? Have you got a decent supplier who can help?

Sogfree · 23/07/2025 17:46

I'm wearing a pair of shorts that have been too tight on me for the last 8 years! 🎉🎉🎉

SomethingAboutYou · 23/07/2025 18:20

Gosh @Namechange1281 that sounds miserable. What does your provider suggest? I wonder if moving down or up is the answer? I've seen people online move up a dose when one disagrees with them. Wouldn't blame you for quitting though, losing weight is great but not if it's making you utterly miserable.

@Sogfree yaaay that's brill! I've had a candid photo taken today and I don't hate it!

@MissMogs I'm guessing protein drinks etc aren't available. Meat would be a good option to fill you up, or eggs if they sell them cooked! But honestly, I'd enjoy the bread whilst away. You don't have to go wild, but if you're hungry then a bit of bread isn't so terrible! There's a good chance your weight will fluctuate anyway, even if you're being "good" with your food, as changes to daily routines can throw things off balance. It will balance out and settle when you return but please don't be gutted if the first weigh-in after your hols isn't what you expect!

Went with Zava and was £109 for 5mg, using a discount code.

I’m with Simple Online Pharmacy, finally worked out how to contact their patient care team and emailed them. Missing a dose and then dropping down to 2.5mg sounds like a good plan. Ive lost 12lbs so far which is great but not worth feeling this bad for.

waitingforlifeonmars · 23/07/2025 19:41

I’m finding I’m extremely tired on 3.75mg and have had to take a few nana naps which I expect to be only 1hr but the last one at the weekend was 3hours long- I then woke up exhausted, parched and with a mouth as dry as a ferrets fart!

i really want to try the Japanese walking technique because it is for 30mins which for me is more doable that 10ksteps!
Has any one tried it? It’s start with three minutes of fast walking where you're slightly out of breath and three minutes of slow walking. Repeat these intervals five times, and walk three to five days a week. I really need to do something! I bought a weighted vest also so should wear that if I ever get the motivation to start!

30 clicks on a 5mg pen is 2.5mg
45 clicks on a 5mg pen is 3.75mg
60 clicks on a 5mg pen is 5mg

Thank you so much. I've unintentionally given another 2.5 then! Oh well, I'll work it out as the month goes on.

That's really annoyed me hearing that. I'll be looking around well before my next date, particularly as I didn't get much extra for the money- weighed, asked about SE & took blood pressure.

That is exactly what I did. The nausea was so terrible even at 3.75mg I am missing a week and going back down to 2.5mg.

What doesn't get mentioned is that MJ builds in your system each week (upto 30 days in total) so even dropping down means that you are adding more to your body cumulatively (until enough time has passed).

I never knew this, I asked chat gpt if it could work it out for me.

Required Information:

  1. Your Dose Amount (e.g. 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, etc.)
  2. Date and Time of Last Injection
  3. How Many Doses You’ve Taken So Far (e.g. Is this your first dose or have you been on it for weeks/months?)
  4. Your Weight (kg or lbs) – helpful if we want to estimate drug concentration in plasma.
  5. (Optional but helpful) Your Age and Sex – small factors in PK modeling.
I told it my answers and it worked out I had As of 12:00 PM on July 23rd, you have approximately 4.0 mg of Mounjaro (tirzepatide) remaining in your system.

Which is quite interesting. It could probably estimate the amount in your system if you were wanting to know to plan on holidays. Get a forecast!

Voy does an ongoing graph for me. It’s very interesting.

BadgerFace · 23/07/2025 21:28

I have bitten the bullet and ordered 5mg for my third pen even though I’m not sure if I should stay on 2.5mg. I guess this way I have more options to choose a lower dose whereas if I bought 2.5mg I don’t really have the option to flex. But is was a painful 30% price increase for my pharmacy!
