Has anyone had an increase in dry and sensitive skin everywhere!!! Face has gone dry, tight and sensitive to everything. Body skin just not getting moisturised effectively. Vulva itchy and inflamed (no thrush, STIs etc had this checked).

Ive had eczema and allergies my whole life so know how to battle dry sensitive skin, and have had it successfully controlled to being virtually symptom free until this round of MJ.

I was on MJ previously for 3 months, had a break of 2 months and back on it again since Feb 2025. However my skin has taken a total nosedive. GP says it’s Mounjaro.

currenrly at a healthy ish weight so due to wean off MJ in next month or so.

Are you drinking enough water? My skin feels softer and looks healthier but I drink plenty of water.

Hrt and emollient body wash might help. Washing with warm water instead of hot also might help. Vagifem and blissel gel topical treatment for intimate use too. Talk to your GP

How old are you? This is a very common peri / menopause symptom.

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 12/07/2025 14:52

Yes it's caused by estrogen levels decreasing due to the weight loss.

How old are you? My skin has taken a massive nosedive due to being 49. I'm even presenting with psoriasis as well as dermatitis on scalp and around ears.
This all started well before MJ, so I'm loathe to blame anything on that.

If you're of a similar age, it's more likely hormonal.

Yes I have had this for a week or so (have just started Week 5 on Mounjaro).

Slightly sore face, and back of hands, and area around my knees feels sensitive, even though my skin doesn’t actually feel dry like it would in winter.

I have also had thrush (confirmed by GP) which I thought might be down to heat, but maybe that is related too.

I am drinking quite a lot of fluids, and eating OK. I’m in my 60s so not menopause related.

Hey! Thank you all for your advice/input.
Im 33 so hoping that it isn’t peri as I’d be planning another child soon!
GP checked and didn’t think it was thrush but said that Mounjaro has been causing similar symptoms for some women, can’t see anything about that online though. Truthfully I think they were trying to scare me off MJ a bit. I do plan to come off it in a month or so as nearly at goal weight.
I’ll up my water and try the recommended vaginal gels thank you all
