Cheapest option for weight loss injection?

Posting on behalf of my DH. He was having mounjaro injections weekly, but the monthly cost for us was working out too high. I’ve suggested Orlistat as an alternative as significantly cheaper, however he’s noticing his weight creep back up again.

Where is the cheapest place to buy a weight loss injection please?

Many thanks x

He can look at https://monj.co.uk for a price comparison list. He can change pharmacies for each order if necessary to take advantage of new customer discounts.

Haven't heard of that site for a long time, just checked it for my supplier and it is months out of date for both price and discount code.

@WeAllHaveWings ah! ok, apologies

I see she last updated in May.

This is the go to place to compare deals and it’s always up to date. If he’s starting back on at 2.5 you can usually get 2.5 and 5mg pens for around £100 a go if you are willing to moves supplier each month to take advantage of new customer discounts.

Another vote for looking at the 'monj" website it's updated regularly. I swap supplier each month to whoever is cheaper although bear in mind as you get nearer to a healthy BMI it's best to stick with one supplier but I'm nowhere near that yet.

I've used Asda as I liked the collection in store option although it was more expensive, medexpress, chemist4u.

Prices and discount code for my supplier are from before they changed them late last year.

Have a look at Monj, it is usually fairly accurate and also contains lots of extra info such as suppliers with shortages, those that offer maintenance, restarting after a break etc

If he is open to trying a different medication @PeonyPatch Nevolat is hugely cheaper than mounjaro. It's a daily injection of semaglutide (you may have heard of it sold as saxenda)

Edit liraglutide sorry not semaglutide. So many glutides 😂

Thank you all - I have shared that monj website with him. He said he’s going to stick out the Orlistat for another month and see how it goes.

Unforynately @TourangaLeila i don’t think he’d be keen on something he needs to administer daily. He already hates that he has to take Orlistat up to x3 daily with meals. He’d like something on a weekly basis x

Beggars can't be choosers though? You can't afford mounjaro. Once a day is very different to 3x a day orlistat. I know which I'd choose.

Yep, thanks for the suggestion though!

We’ll take a look at the comparison tables and see what we think. How much is the one you’re recommending?

@PeonyPatch you can find it for as little as £70 for 5 weeks worth.
