With hindsight, I think it would've been better for me to have taken 3.75 mg for at least 4 doses in pen two. The problem is it impossible to predict how you will react. 3.2 mg (the bonus dose for pen 1) was fine. My friend has been fine going up every single dose in one step, when she was ready (definitely slower than every 4 weeks though).
I felt I didn't have enough suppression on 2.5 mg and again, with hindsight, 4.2 mg was a bit to much so at the very least I should've stuck there for a while. I only stuck to it for a second dose because I was on holiday (and so glad I did!).
The knock-on effect was I was almost certainly too cautious going up and on too low a dose for me for months on end after this.
