I am using Asda and it’s costing
2.5mg + sharps bin = £130.98
5mg = £138.98
7.5mg = £148.98
10mg = £158.98
12.5mg = £198.98
15mg = £198.98
free to pick up or £4.50 delivered to your house.

Are there are other cheaper and reliable services out there.?

So I just looked at Asda thinking how much more am paying with MedExpress and the prices are showing way higher than your list....?

£250 for 7.5 from voy! Too much but just haven't got round to changing supplier. Xx

LookAtThatMartin · 06/05/2026 15:34

Bolt are my supplier and Ive been with them since oct. It’s too much of a faff to change plus they are helpful and very supportive.

I recommend Swift, easy to transfer, good for maintenance and reasonable - it’s £169 for 5mg but it’s £10 off once you do a consultation.

Thank you. However I’ve referred a lot of people to BOLT and have enough codes for discounts to last me over a year!

Blimey - Asda prices look reasonable to me. I pay £189 for 5mg at Boots. I know you can get cheaper, but I like picking up my pen in person from the pharmacist.

SilenceInside · 15/05/2026 18:56

@twilightcafe sadly the prices in the OP are from before the price hike in Sept 2025. This thread keeps getting bumped by weird spammy posts like “JessicaMorgan”’s one above.

Asda are now just as expensive as everyone else.

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 15/05/2026 19:14

A friend has described using half the clicks to make a double dose pen go further. Does the supplier allow you to have a pen alternate months, or will she be storing them up for the future? Just trying to work out the system!

SilenceInside · 15/05/2026 19:19

@PrizedPickledPopcorn most suppliers will expect you to order every 6 weeks, and may ask questions or refuse your next order if it’s longer than that. Some places are happier to go a little longer. Your friend is probably leaving as long as possible between orders without running into questions and then probably building up a stockpile of pens.

This site is great for working out clicks to use from a higher dose pens. https://www.vrgrowth.co.uk/mounjaro-clicks
I tend to buy bigger pens and “micro dose” to keep the cost down, only trouble is as @SilenceInsidementioned, you have to reorder your pens frequently, I have a couple stockpiled but hey ho.

I’ve just been looking at bolt and they do subscribe and save. So I’d get a 2.5 pen and use it for a month. Assuming I lose weight I’d move up to a 5mg pen but continue using 2.5mg. After 3 months I’d have a spare pen. After 5 months I’d have 2 spare pens. I could stop subscribing then and have 4 months worth left.
£150/pen
£750 for 9 months’ worth, assuming 2.5 is enough.

Then ease off slowly and see what happens. Reassess. I could maybe lose 9kg at a lb a week. Hmm. Lots to think about.

Thanks for the link, @waitingforlifeonmars . I’m finding it all bewildering. I’m watching his videos now.

I hoped to stay on the lowest dose possibly and probably should have stayed on the doses longer than I did but food noise once it goes was bliss but when it crept back in it scared me! I’m nearly a year in and am on 6.75mg thinking of upping it. I had to stop weight loss on advice of doctor for something else but can now resume it again, although I’m happy at my weight and but not in healthy bmi. I’m a size 14 now and if I stayed this, would be ok with it. To be a healthy bmi I have to lose another stone which would make a lot more saggy skin!
