My gp told me to stop taking mounjaro for a month as it was making Mirtazapine less effective and I need to reduce slower.
I had just purchased 10mg mounjaro which has been sat in the fridge for 2 weeks. Is there anyway I can use this? been told to stay on 2.5mg. Nearly £250 going to waste.

2.5 would be 15 clicks x

Do you mean use the 10mg to take a lower dose? Yes, you can. Instead of turning the pen all the way to the 1 position for a full dose of 10mg, which would be 60 clicks/marker lines, you can turn it for 15 clicks for a 2.5mg dose. Hopefully that makes sense?

You won't be able to use all of the medication in the pen within the 30 day limit from doing the first dose, but you should be able to do 5 lots of the 2.5mg dose which is better than not using it at all.

Just a suggestion but why not order a 2.5mg pen and keep this 10mg pen unopened in the fridge until you get back up to that dose? The 2.5mg pens appear to be available for as little as £99. The expiry date on the pens is usually quite long so the 10mg pen should keep a few months. The manufacturers guidance is to discard the pen after 30 days open so you would still be wasting most of the 10mg pen if you used it for 2.5mg doses (days 0, 6, 13, 20 and 27 is only 5 doses and they would only be 15 clicks of a 10mg pen each, leaving at least 3 doses at 10mg wasted).
