Stomach pain

8 months into my mounjaro journey and 3st 8lbs down. Currently on 10mg, coming to the end of my 3rd 10mg pen. I am losing consistently weekly. Very few side effects throughout journey. Until now...

I inject on a Friday and noticed last weekend I had an incredibly painful stomach. With waves of sickness and dull stabbing pain to left side at times. Eating makes the pain worse. I feel like I have some kind if stomach paralysis. It subsided a little over the week so I took dose on Friday but it's back this weekend.

I am thinking with dose buildup over time and new injection on a friday means the dose is maybe too high for my body. Shotsy estimtes dose at 15-16mg over the weekend.

Anyone else experiencing anything similar?

I'd advise contacting your prescriber as some do experience stomach paralysis as a side effects. Could it be food related? Seriously though it does sound concerning so contact someone and if it continues maybe go to your GP or ring 111. You don't want to develop a long term health issue.
I'm on 12.5mg and my dosage levels are a lot higher but I'm all fine. Will be going upto 15mg next.

This really, really sounds like something that needs to be checked out by a doctor, please.

@Histoscientist @VelociraptorsVelociRapping I have messaged prescriber and awaiting a response back. Depending on response I will also contact doctor.

I had considered food related the first week, but the fact it happened the second week makes me think it's not food related.

Just curious to see if anyone else had experienced similar.

OP, it’s Sunday. You might not hear back from your prescriber for several days. I don’t want to worry you but some of the possible reasons for severe stomach pain (whether related to MJ or not) are serious. Severe pain should always be checked out. I would personally want medical attention within the next 24 hours. I hope you feel better soon.
