I’ve been on WLI since last September - done really well and am 4.5 stone down and starting my titration down soon.

I’ve kept my WLI usage a secret. No one knows. I’m flying abroad with family and friends in a month and I’ll need my pen with me. I don’t know how to handle this ? even if I pack my pen in my case, I’m staying in a villa with obviously just one fridge.

Any suggestions? I hate their scrutiny so I’ve kept it quiet 😞

If it’s an in-use pen it doesn’t need to be in the fridge, so you can just keep it in your room.

I am absolutely certain it will be fine.
Firstly pack your pen in your hand luggage (apparently the hold gets too cold)
secondly, get a Frio case to keep it cool/room temperature, despite the heat.

Your pen can travel in this.
there is a pouch of crystals in the case, which, when soaked for 5 minutes, get activated
It will keep the pen cool for up to 48 hours, so technically you can just re-wet the case every 24 hours to keep it at room temperature.

What other people have done is to put some beauty products in with it, eg sachets of face cream and then put it in the fridge. Just tell them you need to keep your face cream in the fridge!

I know it is really hard to tell people. I kept it a secret for months. However when I told my family and a couple of close friends they were incredibly supportive.
That said, I am still not telling anyone else, so I do understand.

You have lost 4.5 stone, which is absolutely incredible. They will have noticed!
So, Alternatively, perhaps to reduce your stress while away, you could tell them individually and quietly, saying this is how I have done it, I don't want to talk about it. but I need to keep it in the fridge while away, please keep my secret.

I’ve been running and swimming regularly so my weight loss (as well as totally cutting sugar and UPF), whilst being a hot topic for many, is easily explained. I thank my lucky stars that I’ve been able to afford this as it’s been (as with many) a life-changer for me in many ways, in addition to the weight loss.

I definitely won’t confide in others. Despite loving my family and friends to distraction, they’re the most judgmental people in the world with the weight loss jabs. Sadly.

I’m worrying about my bag and contents being scrutinised and my party seeing this when we go through security.

I have travelled with my pen numerous times, I never put it in liquids bag and nobody cares. Just leave in bag. It has so little liquid in it that it probably just looks like stationery on the scanner.

How long are you going away for? If it’s less than 2 weeks, any chance you could take a dose the morning that you leave and then take the next dose when you get back? Then you don’t have to take the pen at all.

@JamPotJenny , I was going to suggest the Frio case; it is by far the best type. I recently traveled with one and there is no need for a fridge at all. I got mine on Amazon.
