Mountjaro and Sertaline

I am doing well on MJ but have recently restarted sertaline for OCD after going off it for about 6 months. The issue is that I am now so tired ALL the time, even though I am still only introducing sertaline (half a 50mg tablet). Anyone else had this experience? I had no side effects on MJ.

Yes. Essentially I had to choose one or the other, both can cause fatigue and it was too much putting them together. I chose the mounjaro.

There are other medications that aren’t SSRI’s for ocd.

This is because mounjaro disrupts dopamine and sertraline use and metabolism redcues dopamine too.
I've had a massive impact from low dopamine on mounjaro which I've resolved by using L tyrosine.

Thank you, both of you. I am going to keep on both for the next few weeks as I already feel the sertraline helping with the OCD. I found that Mountjaro alone helped hugely with concentration, but not the OCD traits.

I will look into other medication. My issue is that I have tried several over the years and really like sertraline. Also there is the dreaded introduction period.

Thank you.

I'm on sertraline 50 for ptsd and I have definitely noticed some fatigue. BUT, the Mounjaro is working well for me and I am feeling happier and healthier and the sertraline is impacting my MH positively. Happier me = less stressed and hyper-vigilant me. It's a trade I am ok with.

I have tried discontinuing the sertraline a few times and it really screwed me. I am now accepting I need to be on the sertraline for my ptsd and the MJ for my physical health. Both work well, both together are tolerable and effective.

I hope you find some balance too. x
