Hoping the lovely bunch of May starters thread 3 finds this new thread. Can't believe we are on 4 in the space of couple of weeks.

Thread 3 is now full so can't post the link for the new one there.

Hello on this lovely sunny afternoon! Just trying to catch up with everyone’s posts. Like a few others 5mg is proving too much for me! I had 2 doses and it just wiped me out with tiredness , took 4 last does and still think the suppression is too strong , not interested at all in food . Going to do 3.75 going forward . Those that are also taking a smaller dose so getting more out of pens - are you still ordering every 4 weeks with your supplier? I got a £10 code from Asda to stay with them so my pen only cost 128 this month and I can collect too which suits me so I’m pleased with that price . Feel very lethargic today!

My plan was just to order when I needed it, but I was worried about Medexpress delays so I ordered earlier then had it sitting here for weeks before I was ready to use it.

SutekhsEars · 29/06/2025 16:53

When I spoke to Medexpress about fatigue the pharmacist told me it was a very rare SE! I think I laughed out loud! I have found increasing my protein has helped, although I haven't moved up to 5mg yet. But it might be worth a try...?

Mounjour · 29/06/2025 17:18

Going back a few posts, I just saw this on Monj, "Pancreatitis can happen with Mounjaro, but it’s rare, less than 0.3%. If your BMI is over 35, your risk is about the same even without the medication."

They have a full page on pancreatitis and lots of stats.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 29/06/2025 17:18

Lots of pre-packing sorting and chucking today. I can't tell if the aches and pains are my period arriving or muscular. Once again, my fitbit thinks I've done naff all and is spiritedly gesturing at the outdoors in manner of my nauseatingly peppy PE teacher from secondary school.

I feel like it's been made extra difficult by the blanket of tiredness hanging over me courtesy of Mj. I think 5mg is too much. It's interesting how many people are finding this. On Friday I need to remember this and adjust my dose accordingly.

Other things I need to remember: stop buying body lotion. There are so many bottles and tubs of it in the house. I don't want to throw them away as they are all my favourite scent and easily absorbed. Might need a second van just for skincare at this point.

Cucumberinginplease · 29/06/2025 18:14

@DidILeaveTheGasOn have I missed? Are you moving house?

@SutekhsEarsexhaustion not a side effect???! What??! That's bonkers! How many of us are on this thread, and all of us seem to struggle with it one way or another!

The side effects from my second 5mg have kicked in. I sort of hoped they wouldn't be so bad on week 2 but it seems not so far. I sincerely hope that I don't feel like shit for the next 4 days again. Sigh.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 29/06/2025 18:53

@Cucumberinginplease Our house sale and purchase should be completing soon! I hope. It's been aaages.

Mounjour · 29/06/2025 18:55

I'd missed your house move too. You have a lot on your plate!

I am definitely not jumping to 5mg. Going to try 3.3mg I think, so long as I can keep the pen in the fridge for 6 weeks.

SussexLass87 · 29/06/2025 19:17

Another one chuckling at the "rare" side effect of feeling tired (exhausted)...🤣

Elle771 · 29/06/2025 20:12

So much to catch up on!!

Sorry so many feelings poorly- I'm same as some others, my first 5mg jab was fine but 2nd one has really floored me with the nausea and fatigue!!

Will see how rest of the week goes but have now lost my first stone 🎊🎊🎊 So that feels decent!

Gingercar · 29/06/2025 20:31

Evening everyone! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I’m the opposite- my cafe only opens at weekends. It’s been nice weather here, but nothing like a heatwave.
I’ve had a funny week. Self inflicted really. I never get much suppression anyway, but I dropped down to 2.5 last week again - simply because I still had some left after taking 4mg golden dose at the end of my first 2,5 pen. I’ve felt a fair bit hungry this week (could be psychological!). So I think I’ll go up to 5mg when I start my 5g pen on Tuesday. Then I’ve got to decide what pen to get for the following month. My Voy order is due on the 11th, but I probably need to move suppliers to save money!

PandaIsMySpritAnimal · 29/06/2025 21:26

@Mounjour im with Oushk

The whole call was less than 3 minutes. They asked to show ID on camera, then step on then scale with camera facing down and then asked if I had any questions and that was it.

Thank you, that seems rather pointless but I’m glad to hear it is so quick.

Gingercar · 29/06/2025 21:55

How many of you are thinking of/already have moved up to 7.5g for your third pens? I’m not sure what my plan is. I’ve sneaked out two golden doses from the first pen, so haven’t even used my 5g pen yet. But if I had done things by the book id be about to take my third jab and my supplier will be expecting me to decide what I want next soon.

Can you tell them you had to pause for a week (or 2) due to side effects? That would allow you to defer to see how you feel?

SaintAgatha · 29/06/2025 22:00

Evening all! I went up to 5mg two Saturdays ago and whilst the constipation had gone (yay!) so seemingly has the suppression that I found with the 2.5mg, and I’ve also acquired some mild nausea and fatigue.

I’ve ordered another 5mg for next month but after saying I’d stay as low as possible for as long as possible, I’m now contemplating a switch up to 7.5mg. Also the lovely craving I had for healthy crunchy salads has all but gone. Been tracking calories and definitely had the full whack today!

Will weigh with the next pen to see how it’s going. Onwards and downwards!

They like to log side effects. But I could probably say I’m going on holiday and am pausing for that. I’m leaning towards getting a second 5mg pen. I’m doing very well with a combination of willpower and MJ so far anyway.

AccidentalPrawnYouFool · 29/06/2025 22:47

Hugely failed on getting the 5th dose out today. Just couldn’t draw it out of the pen. Very annoying. I had to open the next pen instead.

Gingercar · 29/06/2025 23:08

That’s frustrating!

@AccidentalPrawnYouFool

did you break the vacuum on the syringe first? You have to pull back the plunger to break relieve the pressure then close it again, then withdraw the MJ

Ah maybe that’s where I went wrong!

Seahorsesplendour · 30/06/2025 07:24

Morning all! Another week starts!!

I discovered these yesterday! Very satisfying & ticks that crunchy box as well as being a fibre & protein boost.

Hope your week gets of to a good start and those with SE settle soon!

@DidILeaveTheGasOn love this! It’s like the inside of my head being said by someone else!

Perfectly put , @HKG !

PandaIsMySpritAnimal · 30/06/2025 07:43

Happy Monday.
After 2 weeks of going up and down the same 1 pound, the scales gave finally moved this morning and I'm now officially under 100kg (99.7) and I'm also 25% there towards my target.

Really don't want to see 100kg on the scale ever again.

I have only lost 2.5kg in the whole month of June (despite being in deficit every day (I track calories meticulously), so it was a bit more frustrating, but overall it's a still a downward trend, so I'm grateful.

I will be taking my bonus dose of 5mg this week, and I'm staying on 5mg for the next month.
I'll be visiting family for 3 weeks during my next pen, so I think healthy eating will be more of a challenge (I previously would gain around 5kg during such 3 weeks) but I'm determined to come back on the same weight.

I'd then move to 7.5 in August.

Just a quick check -in as we are out for the day (mostly museums so hopefully cool 🥵).
Family meze on Saturday was fine, less meat dishes than I’d feared and some unusual and tasty salads that I’m hoping to recreate .
Did succumb to mahalepi with rose syrup and pistachios for dessert , however …
Barometer shorts still fit , but they’re denim and rather warm for 42 degree heat .
Waves 👋 to all who remember me , well done to the losers , welcome to new arrivals and commiserations to those suffering nasty side effects - we can , and will, do this .
Onwards and upwards!
