Heatwave

AmateurNoun · 20/06/2025 00:08

Is everyone putting their pens that they are currently using back in the fridge with this heatwave?

I didn't realise it would get so hot today but it did creep up to 30 degrees at its highest here and is due to hit 30 again for the next couple of days.

I have put it back in the fridge tonight - that's the right thing to do isn't it?

I have just gone and put mine in the fridge after using, it's normally at the back of the wardrobe, hope OH doesn't find it, it's hidden under the salad in a skincare box lol. So 🤞

If it’s been out of the fridge and up to room temp you shouldn’t start refrigerating again. If you just mean putting it back after using it, that’s absolutely normal.

Shouldn't you? Google seems to say it's fine to put it back in the fridge after being at room temperature as long as it hasn't been stored at over 30 degrees or kept unrefrigerated for more than 30 days.

Oh, put it back in then

I had the same question as I usually store mine out of the fridge after first use. I'd assumed we couldn't put it back in if it had been out for a while too, but good to hear it should be ok. I can't imagine it gets to 30 degrees in the house though.

I used a new pen from the fridge, I meant that normally after opening I put in wardrobe, just thought it might be better refigerating in this heat. Although I doubt the back of my wardrobe would reach 30 deg.

I keep my Mounjaro in the fridge.

My current problem is my B12 ampoules/injections. They should not be refrigerated and should be kept below 24 degrees (they are in a cool bag with an ice block 🙈)
