Syringe too blunt for extra dose

My usual method of taking the bonus dose from the pen with a fixed needle insulin syringe failed today. After drawing it out the needle would not penetrate my skin. Trying different ares etc resulted in me accidentally squirting some of the dose out so I had to abandon it and use my new pen. I got the syringes from the well known place medical place everyone talks about and don’t know if it was just an odd blunt one. I would like a syringe that can have screw on needles that work with the ones we get supplied with our Mounjaro pens so I can draw up the dose with one, discard it and use a fresh one for the injection. Does anyone else do this? Or have any advice please?

I think if you want to swap the needles before injecting you need Luer Lock syringes which have twist on needles.

I have these to use, haven’t tried yet but will use a different needle if the first one blunts.

@chirpes these are what I use and they work fine. Bit fiddly changing the tip and have to be careful not to spill etc but you know it's not blunt if it's a fresh needle

I use the luer lock too
