Mounjaro overdose

I'm nearly at my weight loss end, just another half stone to go but i accidentally took an overdose on Friday.
I did my jab half asleep in the morning at 6am then went back to bed, slept and got up some hours later and did my jab again!!!
I rang 111 and they said it should be OK no need to come in after 20mgs.
I've spent the week so far feeling bloody awful, exhausted and just can't eat anything without feeling sick.
Never again. I hope it wears off soon. Worst week ever.
How can you forget you've already injected yourself...ridiculous.

I used to do it all the time with my meds - because I took them everyday I would forget if I did them and wouldn't matter how much I wracked my brain I could never remember for sure if I took this morning or was remembering yesterday.

So I had to get into a routine, as soon as I got downstairs in the morning the pill would be popped out the packet even if I didn't take it straight away so I knew.

You need a routine for your injections! Whether that is ticking off on the calendar (just before you do it!) or always checking the number of doses left aligns with there you know you are with the pen.

Ouch! Sorry to hear you’re feeling so rubbish but don’t beat yourself up as we all forget things no matter how routine they are!

Much like@WeAllHaveWings I have regularly forgotten tablets or had to really think to remember if I’ve taken them. I use a daily pill sorter now and still occasionally open it to find the previous day’s tablets in there! 🤦🏼‍♀️ And we won’t mention the missed inhalers over the years…

Gosh you poor thing that sounds horrible. I struggled going up doses so a double dose must be hideous side effect wise. Did the prescriber say anything about how long it would take to get out your sysetme? Will you miss tomorrow's dose?

And yes can compeltley imagine it. My adhd meds (ha clue there) I've had to put into days of the week pill containers as I've both forgotten them and doubled.

My jab I have a ritual where I record it on shotsy and where I jabbed and I was taking a photo too. All of which meant I knew I'd done it!
