First dose and going abroad

Eeeeek I ordered mounjaro yesterday afternoon and it’s arriving this morning! Was expecting it to take a week due to the website saying there was high demand. I am going away (bus to Europe for context of loo availability!) Friday-Monday. I obviously want to take my first dose tonight. Do you think that will be alright, no massive side effects should happen on day 3-6 after one little 2.5ml dose?

Also please send me any lovely words of encouragement, I’m a mix of excitement and emotion. I really feel like this is my last chance and I’m terrified I’m going to be one of the ones for whom MJ doesn’t work!

I've never had a side effect really, but I'm not you. I would wait till you get back, you can also use that time to adjust your diet. Ditching sugar, carbs and upf will give you the best start. Good luck.

I'd wait a week tbh. You never know if you'll be fine or get quite nasty side effects.

Unfortunately you won’t know until you take it if you’ll get any side effects. Personally I’d hold off until after your holiday because I couldn’t think of anything worse than being on a bus with a dodgy tummy but that’s just me.

Oh bum really!! Ok :( well I’d then have to wait until the next Thursday (so 9 days from now) as equally I wouldn’t want a dodgy tummy at work. Wish I’d started this weeks ago!

I would probably wait till after the trip. Likelihood is that you’d be fine but if you’re unlucky there’s no way I’d want to be on a long bus trip and have an upset stomach.

Yeah, another vote for waiting. You simply don't know and even mild gastro side effects will seem worse if you're stuck on a bus and at hotels and not in the comfort of your own home.

It seems a long delay now but in the context of the months you're going to be doing the jabs it's a drop in the ocean. Relax and enjoy your holiday and come back full of motivation for MJ!

Ahh I think you’re all right. Thanks for being the voice of reason! I don’t feel like I can enjoy this trip anyway at the size I am 🥵 but you’re right it will be even less enjoyable if I’ve got the shits 😂 I shall wait!

I had a final holiday before I went on mj and went wild! Have fun and get in it when you return. It's absolutely life changing stuff!

I didnt have any side effect apart from not being hungry so I would say go for it! Good luck
