Switching between MJ suppliers - when do you do it?

Probably a silly question but if you switch between suppliers, when do you do it? I’m only on month 2 but I’m with Chequp and the 5mg price was £169. The renewal will be on July 7 (which I can cancel at any time) so should I apply somewhere else around July 1 to be safe? Do I just give them evidence of my last receipt with Chequp?

I’m looking on the Monj website and looking at reviews for the ones to avoid. MedExpress seems to be getting a bad rap at the moment.

I just ordered on week 2 of the pen and ordered the next pen up. I figured even if I didn't go up that month I'd need it at some point. My 12.5 has an expiry of 2027 so figured even if I stayed on 10mg it would be worth keeping for emergencies.

I'm going up to 12.5 next week though and then I think I'll camp at 15mg for the rest of my journey.

It's £135 + £4 postage for 15mg with simple online pharmacy price matched to medicine marketplace so it's very affordable at the high doses so I've just gone up every month.

Ordered my 5mg pen with medX this morning and has been dispatched already! You could probably apply anytime just have the proof of prescription. Message me if you need any help! I swapped from MedEx to farmeci for my second 2.5mg because it was so cheap. ME also price matches so I got £25.99 back x

Most other pharmacies are not a subscription
model so you don’t need to cancel anything for those pharmacies. You can order a new pen from any other pharmacy whenever you like, and just remember to cancel your subscription to Chequp in time to avoid being charged and getting another pen from them.

You can keep unused pens in the fridge for several months (until their printed expiry date) so no worries if you get it a little earlier than you need.

Ok thanks! So when I do the online quiz, I just tell them that I’m already on it and am
looking for 5mg and am not starting from scratch? Do I need to provide proof? I’ve got my receipts from Chequp.

You can also take a photo of the label on your box showing your name and the dose you currently are on if that’s easier. I would order before the 1st as it will be a new consultation so probably need new photos etc.
From what I’ve read it’s hit & miss with Medexpress lately, I’d definitely avoid though and there are lots of suppliers that are cheaper with better reviews.

I'm with TribElle, and they have sent my pen the same day, and their prices are reasonable for the different strengths, so I'm sticking with them. Their process is quick and easy.

How much have you lost so far, I’ve been slow and steady at weight loss but I’ve now lost 1st 9lb, only another 10st to go 😂 I always order as I start my next pen just so I know I have it waiting in the fridge for me. I’ve had no problems at all with Medexpress my pens have always come within a few days and in ice cold packaging. I have a £40 off first order code if anyone is in need of one x

TwoBlueFish · 02/07/2025 15:36

I’ve used Medino for my first 2 pens. My 2.5 was £107.99 and my 5mg pen was £118.67. Last time I reordered on the day I took my 3rd dose from the pen. I’m sticking to 5mg for my next pen and will probably stay with medino then shop around again when I increase.

I swap every month to get the best deal. When varies as it depends when I am away (I travel once a month except in winter), and also how close I am to needing to move up a dose, and also what the price hop is.

So, when I was going up from 2.5mg to 5mg, it didn't matter if I was early, because I titrated up, and was on 3.75mg for a while. So I know my next pen would be 5mg because I wasn't maxed out. I am now maxed out taking the full 5mg dose, so now I order as late as I can, because I need to know if I need 5mg or 7.5mg (there is a price jump at this point). Between 7.5 and 10mg there isn't a big price jump, so it won't matter if I order the higher dose before I want it because I will count clocks to get the dose I want. When I do move up, I won't go straight to 7.5mg, I will do 6.25mg for at least 5 doses, so again, I will have wiggle room, so don't need to hang on to make the right decision.

It can be tricky sometimes if I am away for a week or two and it coincides with when I think I might need to order a higher dose, but it's turned out ok so far.

This is all really helpful, thank you. I’m on 5mg and used Chequp the second time around (it was pretty easy) but I’ll start shopping around again for the next one.
