Gap between doses?

Firstly for background I've been on Mounjaro since August last year and have lost 4 stone (30% of my body weight). I haven't got a great deal more to lose and have been happy overall.

So I'm off on holiday soon and will be out of the country for 12 days. Ideally I'd rather not travel with the meds so would like to take the day I leave and again the day I return. I've done this for a 10 day period before and just amended the day I take my meds. For some reason through the guidance says if I go more than 11 days I should miss the dose on my return and go a full two weeks. Just curious as to why that is other than the assumption that you wouldn't want to change the day you take your jab? I've taken my jab every day of the week so far because I've either forgotten or have juggled then to fit around trips away! Am I missing something?

The pharmacist said the exact same thing to me and said it wasn’t to do with the missed dose as such but its proximity to the next dose

I would just take the missed dose when I got back. Then leave 7 days to the next dose. It would mean changing the injection day so I guess if you don't want to do that, then you would be best leaving it for the extra few days.

That's my thought - I'm not worried about changing the dose day so makes more sense to get straight back on it.

If you really feel you can’t take it with you, just take it the day you get back then 7 days later.
