@4pink1blue beautiful dress 😍
Definitely don't go away. We'll will miss you too much xx

Motnight · 27/07/2025 10:13

@Azuresky68 you don't need to apologise for posting! You are one of the most supportive people, you have helped others so much. I haven't got any wise words for you re maintenance but can understand the feeling of uncertainty around it.

Motnight · 27/07/2025 10:19

Oh yes @Iloveloveisland. I have lost 6 stone. Got 4 more to go at least. I have times when I feel almost defeated about it but dust myself off and plod on 😬. The gym sessions sound good.

My weight loss is probably only 3 or 4 lbs a month currently. But I am ok with that. I eat out still, drink wine etc. I can't think of this as a diet but as a lifestyle change.

Are you on the 10 stone to lose thread as well? Also full of lovely supportive posters.

Awwww thank you! I am glad if I have helped anyone. Like I have said on many occaisions this thread is a lifeline..I don't think I could have got here without it. Have a great Sunday x

Azuresky68 · 27/07/2025 11:00

So we are nearly at our starting anniversary, who would have thought it!
Who's for a real life meet up? I won't be upset if nobody wants to do this! Everyone is in different phases of their life and I have plenty of time with being almost retired and no grandchildren.
Alternatively we could do an online one but I am not keen on those as it reminds me of lockdown.

Just a thought anyway.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/07/2025 13:39

Never be afraid to post @Azuresky68

thread is quite quiet from what it used to be.

same for me. No one else knows. Sure some may guess but they hasn’t asked.

Few hinted and I stuck with cal counting - which is true. As I don’t always think mj helped me that much as I do seem hardcore to it

sorry for the gain but sure it will come off next week

maybe 8/7 isn’t the right goal for you

yes be lovely to meet but sure we are scattered so far about so. A middle ground may be hard to find

I love all the chatter, please don’t go anywhere!

im back down to 8st12 this morning, thank goodness for lactulose. I’m still trying super hard with my resistance bands, but did sublux my shoulder, so will be careful. I have severe hyper mobility so my joints are super wibbly.

Weepixie · 27/07/2025 14:10

At the risk of boring everyone (sorry) I weighed in yesterday at 8 stone 12. This was after a weigh in last week of 8 stone 10. I don't feel or look any different and am not upset

if it’s any help - I weighed in this morning and according to my scales I’ve gained 3 and a half pounds in a week. Of course I haven’t and I doubt you have gained two pounds either, but I’m wondering if I’m dehydrated this week or if I was last week as Fluid retention can cause temporary weight gain/false weight gain. Anyway, in the 50 weeks I’ve been in Mounjaro this is the first time ever I’ve showed an increase in the scales and I don’t blooming like it - even though I know it’s not real. I hear you xxx

Azuresky68 · 27/07/2025 14:17

@Weepixie thanks for that..good to know but annoying for you.
How do you copy and paste text? Do you use the desktop site? I can't get in on with it and use the App.
I wish there were other option to click in addition to Thanks as well such as laughing abmnd I agree 👍
Also sometimes people's messages come up with bits that have a line through..no idea why?

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/07/2025 15:01

Press and hold screen on app. And will come up with this

Hi Blondoe, thank you, but it’s ok. I don’t for a minute believe is a true weight but even knowing that I’m still pissed off. 😆

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/07/2025 21:09

I only weigh once a week so if I gain I gain. Same as if I lose I take it as a win

Look at you! I honestly used to think thigh gaps were a myth! I might try and do a picture to see if I have four!

i played myself a huge dinner, what a waste! Some days i just don’t learn. I need to find a smaller plate and stick to that. It was sausage and mash, one of my kids faves and we hadnt had it for ages. I served myself three sausages, I managed two but one would have been enough. I ate my runner beans, carrots and onions first. It’s so easy to eat the wrong way round and load up on the high calorie foods. Some things are amazing calorific and so small! Making mash again, so easy to dump tonnes of butter in and double or triple the calories.

Hi everyone, great photos (bikini, thigh gap etc - looking fabulous). I’m so glad there’s a range of experiences and stages, it’s really helpful whether people still have a lot to lose (but you’ve lost loads already so fab progress!) or maintaining /titrating /off MJ completely - I really appreciate and learn from the different experiences and nice to feel part of our wee group.
my first anniversary is next Saturday as my first injection was 2nd August. I’ve reached my original goal just yesterday of 8st 5lbs (and 3/4, so only just 😁). Still aiming now for 8st and still on 15mg, I have two of these stored so if I continue losing I might start to go down the doses after that . I do want to eventually come off it, mostly financial, so it’s helpful seeing people managing off MJ.
Isnt it amazing we’re getting to a full year and all the good we’ve done for ourselves with reducing weight 🥳

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/07/2025 21:48

@Slimhopes I like this thread as we are all at different stages

@Slimhopes how lovely to catch up with you..thanks for your news. I am going to play the age card now..my memory is terrible. My kids are always telling me off for asking the same questions over and over! Anyway please remind me of your age and height so I can relate that to your weight? Have you posted any pics? (No pressure!) Thanks for posting xx

Weepixie · 28/07/2025 05:50

@Azuresky68 I hear you! 🤣

My kids use my 67 years to their advantage as well though - so for example when we go to Dubai this weekend and there’s a huge queue at the border they’ll tell me ‘mama put your old lady act on’ and we’ll get through quicker. So I do. And it works. It’s not a stereotypical doddery one but my silver hair does help a lot and by the time the immigration officer has spent 5 mins with me he usually wants to take me home with him.

So I can make him a cake!

FurForksSake · 28/07/2025 14:33

good afternoon all!

has anyone noticed their tastebuds have changed? I had some crisps earlier (cheese ans onion seabrooks) and they were soooo salty. I won’t be rushing for another packet. I ate something else recently and noticed it a few times over the last couple of weeks.

Hi @Azuresky68 I’m a shorty also like a few if us, 5ft nothing! And 54, also not mobile (wheelchair/crutches, long term spinal damage) so try to get 2-3000 steps a day at home through housework etc. I do work almost full time but obv desk job and almost entirely at home. So I don’t burn many calories and toning up isn’t going to be happening. Aiming lower on my weight as I still carry a bit round my stomach and want a bit of a reserve few pounds for special occasions.
no photos from me, I’m quite reserved (generally!) with any social media and don’t want to be more outing really🙈

Completely ! A few months ago I treated myself to the crisps and dips which probably added at least 2 stones to my obesity but I didn’t like them at all and was so surprised. Kettle crisps with a M&S dip which I had loved😅 and some chocolate just doesn’t taste nice to me now which is helpful in terms of not being interested in it. Scared of post mounjaro though and the taste for it all coming back😬

FurForksSake · 28/07/2025 15:08

A four pack of dips to my self at Christmas used to be heaven! With a big bag of plain fancy crisps. Going round in turn, the enjoyment! I’d be sick now.

yes, I fear it coming back if I come off so I think I have to just decide to never by them again. Or not more than once a year as an incredibly special treat and within my calories…

Azuresky68 · 28/07/2025 15:23

@Slimhopes thanks for replying and for the reminder. It's tough being a shortie isn't it. Must be challenging not to be able to exercise much too. Well done on reaching your goal! I have lost a bit of height so now under 5 foot. Bit stuck at 8 st 12 right now but never in my wildest dreams though I could get under 9 stone.

All the very best to all of us Auggies 💐💐💐
