I'm the same re the bras and deflated boobs. My m&s bras are 36dd and im comfortable with them in the second or 3rd hooks but the cups are gaping at the top. I did the boob and bust measurements and it said I would be a 36e and another site said an f cup ffs. No way am I that big a cup. I got strapless bras for holiday not padded but under wired and they fitted beautifully. 36dd and from next. I've stuck to bra tops because I have no clue what to get.

Where did you get your strapless bras please? I have a lovely white lace wired one from M&S but another non wired M&S slipped down to my waist 😱 I got a refund after I had worn it because I said it wasnt fit for purpose!

I’m struggling with what bra size I am

i did the a. DS that fits and got 32d. One actually fitted

I got others and tight and deflated spaniel ears bulging over the cup size

I just don’t know what size I am some of my old 36d fit ok tho slightly loose so am I 34d ?

Why don't you book a bra fit at M&S?

Checking in for Monday. My NSV today has been fitting into size 14 clothing, down from a size 18 a year ago :) Very happy with that. I've also signed up for some more weight-lifting classes over the summer so aware that my losses might slow if I'm (hopefully) building up muscle.

I had a weekend away by the sea, and managed to balance eating everything I wanted to - fish and chips, ice-cream, etc - in amounts + meal planning that all worked out. Really nice to be able to do that and have a sense of how to balance it all.

Also went out to Holland & Barrett to buy marine collagen + L-tyrosine + some multivits with magnesium in top up my other supplements (electrolytes, clear whey, Berocca). Have been feeling much more tired and low this past month which might be any of bad sleep from the heat, perimenopause, who knows?? But I want to make sure I'm doing as much for my energy levels as I can.

Hope everyone has a lovely week!

Great news!

Azuresky68 · 22/07/2025 07:24

@lookathatbookcase sorry to hear about your tiredness. I am waking up very early and going to bed late...always tired on MJ but keep telling myself the benefits outweigh the negatives.

My ferritin self test from boots turned up. Conclusively abnormal! Not a hint of a second line. I guess I’ll try and get a gp appointment or at least get them to do a full blood test.

Weepixie · 22/07/2025 12:25

@FurForksSake I’m sorry to hear that. The lowest mine has ever been is 14 and I fear grim even though my HB was ‘okay’ at the lower end of normal.

What I will say is that have a good read up on ferritin levels because different countries have different recommended levels depending on how important they think ferritin is in the grand scheme of things. It’s like having low blood pressure, some countries will say it’s just one of those things whilst others class it as a medical condition and offer treatment for it. In conclusion - do your homework and don’t let your Dr fob you off with a dismissal regarding it.

Sorry just to say there is a consensus that people need more ferritin than is currently considered a normal range so people should be classed as having IDWA earlier than they currently are.

Jumping on to talk about bras also lol I had been 42DD and gradually reduced, I ended up buying 34DD, then 34D and have one 34C which is comfy but also still using the 34Ds as they’re so new still. I’ve shrunk fast recently and yes my boobs are tragic looking things now but hey ho😅
I got the £10 full cup slightly padded ones from marks which are hanging up on rails and have lace on them so look nice too and give a good shape. Went for cheaper as I’m still losing and changing shape. I imagine I’m probably a 30 or 32 with bigger cup size but these ones fit fine and good for now .
i bought nice Brazilian undies also in white, black, and beige so I have matching underwear . This was something I really wanted, pretty matching underwear and I am happy just picking out my underwear every day 😂 my body is sagging and wrinkly etc but I don’t really care much and take a lot of happiness from the getting into smaller sizes and better looking undies 😅

and congrats to pp who is 29.9. I was so overjoyed when I got to the overweight stage I’d enjoy looking at my BMI calculation regularly . It’s a great moment, well done !

It’s the anaemia test you do yourself at home. I already take iron supplements so I might need some prescribed ones. I’ll have a look at recommendations to see how much I should be taking.

Yes, I’ll get gp to do some blood tests. Iron tablets make me even more constipated so I might have to seriously look at how I ca get more through diet. I’m so fussy though that that can be hard!

I tried various sizes and types in marks and just sticking to the one style for now. I’ll do the proper getting measured etc when my weight is at goal/stable but hoping not to spend more for a wee while as I only bought them at the start of June

Every brand is different and they measure you differently. My favourite bra is from Fantasie. Got that one from posh lingerie shop.

That and oramorph, gabapentin and naproxen just turn everything to concrete. I have lactulose, I took it once last week and then haven’t taken it again. I’ll get back on it.

FurForksSake · 22/07/2025 14:50

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun xx

NippyNinjaCrab · 22/07/2025 19:52

Prunes @FurForksSake and dates work for me. How do you find the gabapentin? I've tried both that and pregablin and couldn't get on with them, I wish I had something else alongside the Naproxen xx

morbidcuriosity · 22/07/2025 19:55

A while ago I tried cottage cheese and it was just OK, I could eat it, didn't love it.. but I've just tried again and by reccomendation from someone here, can't remember who, I got Longley Farm cottage cheese... and oh my, its so nice.. I've found a new protein source.. I got a full fat plain one and one with pineapple in, just tried the plain one so far!!
Thank you to whoever reccomended it.

FurForksSake · 22/07/2025 20:09
