Question for those that have had bad side effects?

Did it get better? Did you continue?
I took my first jab on Saturday morning, was fine all day Saturday, Sunday I had a reduced appetite but felt OK! A bit of gas and lots of sulphur burps.
Sunday night I saw EVERY hour, awful stomach pains, bloating and gas, vomiting and woke up constantly with huge burps.
I slept nearly all day Monday, excruciating headache all day yesterday, last night had more bloating/indigestion pains but not as bad.
I've barely been able to eat or drink and lost 11lbs although I am starting to feel better today. I've been so weak and 'woozy'. I'm terrified to take the next jab on Saturday but it's been prescribed for my diabetes control and I'm obese so really do need it.

Is it worth keep trying? Will I get used to it?

If you haven't already, I would talk to your diabetes team about the side effects and see what they say.

Usually, it does improve. Side effects can occur when moving up a dose, so when starting for example, as you've experienced. You can manage symptoms with OTC treatments, and they can often be helped by making changes to what you eat.

If you can, eat small amounts of bland easily digestible food today, and see if that helps with the nauseau and the shakiness. Hopefully you will continue to improve and feel a lot better soon.

I've seen conversations on here about people micro dosing. Might be worth asking your doctor if you can start on 1.25mg rather than 2.5mg. Sounds like a rough intro!

I've had a protein bar for breakfast and a ham wrap for lunch so starting to feel better. Just wondering if another jab will put me back to the start again.

I've rang the Diabetes team twice and no one has rang me back. I haven't taken my metformin or jardiance since Sunday as have had so little food I wasn't sure what to do. I've been religiously checking my blood sugars though and they're well controlled at between 6.3 and 7.5 so presumably that's ok.

Ironically the Diabetes nurse just called me back.
She agreed for me to try it one more time (Saturday) and then to see how i get on. And also in the meantime not to take my other meds but to regularly test blood sugars and reintroduce them if my numbers start to increase.
Please keep your fingers crossed for me for the weekend!
