ha Zempy same, had an uploading frenzy yesterday so a whole load of packages to drop off this morning
But omg some buyers - no dear, I will not sell this new with tags Hilfiger dress for 15 eur.

Polkadotdash · 14/06/2025 09:48

Can one of you come and do my Vinted for me? I have an enormous bag of stuff to list that’s been sitting there for about a month. I really need to do it to get the money together for my next jab but Christ I cannot face it!

Polkadotdash · 14/06/2025 09:54

Also - back to conflicting info from the hospital on whether I should stop MJ for hysterectomy. The pre-op assessment said stop a week before, despite me saying that the consultant said it was fine. I might just pause for a week, as I will be between pens and 10mg has not been suiting me at all. Terrible stomach pains on this dose plus I think I might be losing hair at a faster rate than normal. I think I will go back down to 7,5mg. Plus if is affecting my sertraline absorption I will need to be very careful post hysterectomy as it’s very likely that I will not be in a good place mentally after the op.

Zempy · 14/06/2025 10:12

@PolkadotdashI would pull out maybe 20 items and examine thoroughly. Some might need washing or you might find holes. Then iron it all.

Next, I get a can of Pepsi Max, and do the photography session. Check the photos before you put each item to one side in case they’re shit. Black clothing is particularly difficult to photograph well.

The next stage is uploading. I do three or four items a night. Upload in the same room as the stuff is stashed so you can check details properly.

Good luck!!

Polkadotdash · 14/06/2025 11:07

@Zempy i like the ‘Pepsi max power’ approach! And you are much more through than I am with your prep. I never iron anything before selling! I do check that it’s clean though. I recall in the early days of eBay about 20 years ago when I would craft these detailed listings for things. Now I just write one sentence!

Zempy · 14/06/2025 11:21

I promise you will get far better sales in terms of prices and sales volume if you iron things…

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 14/06/2025 11:52

I do one item at the time, photos straight while uploading, so I don't need to search through camera roll. And I do agree that ironed stuff sells much faster, so worth the effort.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 14/06/2025 11:54

oh and one sentence makes sense for Vinted - ebay is so buyer friendly that they will get a refund over any tiny thing. Vinted will only hear the complaint if there's significant misrepresentation, so I have never bothered over tiny details, just re-sell if it's not as expected.

2025istheyeari · 14/06/2025 12:22

I’m with @Polkadotdash, I don’t iron!! Not had a problem selling, but have had the same issue as @HeidiNotSoHeavy with ridiculous offers! I just ignore now!! I’ve done very well this month and sold a load of stuff which is mounting up for another big shopping spree when I reach goal!
I also do one item at a time, take photos and upload straight away, it is a faff but at the moment it’s worth it, I’m going to go through next weekend and anything that’s been on longer than a month, take off and add it to the charity shop pile which is going next weekend. It’s also cathartic, decluttering!

I’ve not noticed noticeable mood changes on MJ but I did ask my husband if I was less fun as I definitely don’t have quite as much energy!

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 14/06/2025 12:35

I've sold 4 dresses and a top just this morning. Will upload more later.

But something funny happed this morning. I taught a substitute class at another gym, one I go to infrequently but quite regularly, every couple of months or so. So I generally know the regulars, and they know me.
Had not been there this year yet and one of the regulars did not recognise me. We were waiting for the previous class to finish and she said that oh you're new, haven't seen you before? I said that pretty sure we have, I'm Heidi.
She went 😮. Knew very well who Heidi was, just didn't realise it was me. Now that's a new experience.

Week 25 check in here and celebrating finally seeing that elusive eleven on the scales!

SW: 15.13.0
CW: 11.13.2
Loss this week: 1.2lbs, very nearly 4st in total, yay!

Was contemplating ordering a 10mg and using that straight away and saving the 7.5 for when I hopefully get to goal and can titrate back down, but now a bit worried given how many of you seem to be struggling with 10. Hmmm... thoughts on that idea appreciated!

mince3point14159265 · 14/06/2025 12:54

And I've just checked my BMI; no longer obese just overweight!!! 🎉😂

Thelittlestranger · 14/06/2025 13:51

@mince3point14159265 are you on 7.5 now? Why do you want to make the jump to 10?

I got my high this morning from running up a load of hilly trails with my dogs and my husband, and finishing it off with an iced coffee looking over a beautiful view. Longest hilly one I've done since starting up running again (6k), hilliest one I've done and it felt good. It was slow, involved a few out of breath stops. But I honestly just sat there afterwards with a big bloody grin on my face.

Polkadotdash · 14/06/2025 13:56

@mince3point14159265 10mg has been tricky for me. I thought it would make a difference to the rate at which I’m losing but it hasn’t. Still at 1lb a week but with more side effects. So it’s not quite worked how I hoped. If you’re ok and still losing, I’d say stick at 7.5mg.

mince3point14159265 · 14/06/2025 14:37

@Thelittlestranger I've just taken the last dose out of my 3rd 7.5 pen (5 weeks on each) and I feel like I'm really surviving on will power alone! Losses have slowed right down and I can feel myself starting to root around for food like the old days. 🫣😩

@Polkadotdash your experience is definitely giving me pause for thought! Maybe I'll see how this week goes and then maybe trying 8mg if I still think I need more.

Thank you both for your thoughts 💐

2025istheyeari · 14/06/2025 15:01

@mince3point14159265 an 11, well done 🎉🎉.
I did 3 7.5mg pens and struggled when I moved up. Felt I was starting to get hungrier so moved to 10 and had side effects the first 2 weeks but nowhere near as bad as when I moved to 7.5mg, maybe because I did 8.5mg for a couple of weeks? I’ve had nothing at all this week, but I can’t say it’s loads better for food noise/ suppression than 7.5mg, will see how I get on over the next week or so to figure how much I’ve lost on this one vs 7.5mg I think.

i weighed this morning and also have an 11 on the scales for the first time in about 12 years🎉 11 13 3/4 to be precise, but I’m taking it!! 3 3/4 pounds to normal BMI and will figure out how much more I want to lose when I there I think.

MJalltheway · 14/06/2025 15:23

I started on 10mg on Thursday @mince3point14159265 - so far so good. Haven't noticed more suppression yet, but also not had side effects yet.

@myladyjane I'm a huge taskmaster fan, this series is really good! Much better than the last couple have been.
@HeidiNotSoHeavy you're living the dream with your tiny shorts and vest top! I'm aiming to get to that too, might need another 6 months though.

just got back from a uni open day with DS, a definite no from him so that's one ticked off the list at least.

TomorrowPenny · 14/06/2025 15:38

Decided on trying 6.25mg tomorrow from my new 5mg pen.

Interesting how we are all so different reaction wise isn't it. Anyway, 6.25mg on trial, if I feel worse and still do not lose an ounce I will speak to Oushk before I have a complete rethink.

I did all that last year and two years ago @MJalltheway . Fortunately none of ours were too far away or on a really good trainline, so it wasn't so bad. DC2's choices were the same as DC1s - different departments/degrees - they won't actually go to the same uni, but it was like deja vue (plus I had studied at two of them). How many more have you got to go to look at?

TomorrowPenny · 14/06/2025 15:51

I've never seen Taskmaster @myladyjane, I'll give it a try/add it to my list (that I always forget).

I stumbled across Alison Hammond's Weekend something or another last night when I was looking for Gardener's World (rock and roll). I'm not a AH fan, but I watched it because Lenny Henry was the guest, he was absolutely wonderful and they were lovely to watch together, open, warm and very funny. Anyway this led on to me seeing who else had been on it. Luke Evans - fabulous bloke who talked about his struggles with being gay, bullied and growing up as a Jehovas Witness in Wales. I found it quite moving/heartwarming.

We're struggling to find any more to look at to be honest! There's another couple he's lined up for the autumn, he's going to look at the uni his sister is at. Doesn't really want to go there, just wants to go clubbing for a weekend! His heart is set on one we've already seen last week, I'm just trying to make him look at others so at least he's seen some comparisons. He will easily get into the one he wants though, so not really sure why I'm bothering other than because I think we should.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 14/06/2025 16:12

I've also had a bad week/ two weeks my eating has gone to pot I guess I need to move up more, I did go up a bit last week but it's not helped. I've restarted my antidepressants and can't help but think they are increasing my appetite. It's probably also a bit of diet fatigue after nearly 6 months now, but I've still got a long way to go.
I actually did an exercise class this week, aerial hoop! I used to do it years ago and was totally expecting to struggle as much as I did. I couldn't get in the hoop but even so my arms were so sore for days afterwards!

TomorrowPenny · 14/06/2025 16:43

Oh that’s funny, just wants to go clubbing 😂.

Thelittlestranger · 14/06/2025 17:13

@mince3point14159265 after 3 pens, and if you're finding it harder then I would move up. I felt the same on 5mg - and decided I really shouldn't be finding it hard so moved up. But I moved up over 1 pen. Basically used a 5mg pen and upped my doses every week, using my bonus dose. So, by the time I got my first 7.5mg pen I was nearly at that dose

IMO the jabs are supposed to be helping, and there is no point in paying for them and finding it hard work still. It's now SIX months that we've been doing this, and as @UnderandOverwhelmed says, that is a long time to be reducing your food intake. As long as you are not losing too fast, I think take all the help you can get 🤷

BlueLimes · 14/06/2025 17:54

@mince3point14159265 i d felt fine on 10 and 12.5mg. I’m due to move up to 15mg but think I’ll stay on 12.5 and use sill power, I don’t want to move up 15 with over a stone to go - not sure if I’m being silly though.
I’ve had another PT session, hoping it makes a difference!
What are people paying for the higher dose pens?

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 14/06/2025 19:06

OMG I just had the NSV of my life. We have some exercise equipment outside, something I bought years ago, with the aim that one of those years, I will eventually do a pull up. I can lift heavy weights, I can do push ups, but never in my life have I been even close to a pull up. DS had some friends over, they were playing with it. So I also grabbed onto the pull up bar just for fun, to hang a bit maybe.
And I did a pull up. Just like that. Wasn't even hard. OMG.
