@0ncemorewithfee1ing very frustrating - but it's still 1st5 off and not on! If I had not started MJ, I would have certainly be heavier than in January.

@MJalltheway there are different push-ups depending on what muscles you want to target, here's a good overview: https://www.adidas.com/us/blog/830788-10-pushup-workouts-for-total-body-strength

myladyjane · 26/06/2025 09:53

@discov - swit swooo. Fab work mate! Re collagen, I love nutrition geeks stuff but they do bovine collagen I think so not for me. I tend to randomly get whatever marine collagen gets good ratings on Amazon.

well done losers. Good results incoming for all I hope.

on the neck stuff, someone on style and beauty pointed out microneedling to me and not gonna lie, looks very interesting.

I am day 3 after my tiny op and I’m bored shitless. I am allowed to go sofa/loo/bed at the moment then nothing more than a brief walk for another week. No swimming for at least 3 weeks, probably a month. Due to infection risk. Today is my jab day and I found it very hard yesterday not to graze just because I’m so bored so looking forward to some suppression days.

On the plus side I can’t weigh in as I can’t put weight on my leg evenly yet. I am trying to put my phone down and read/watch some good tv rather than scroll all day (mixed results but was quite good yesterday - no phone from 10.30 - 4 is today’s aim).

MJalltheway · 26/06/2025 10:18

Always on the lookout for good tv recommendations so do share if you find any gems @myladyjane . If you haven't already watched Severance, Only murders in the building and The residence, I'd recommend those. Sending healing vibes your way!

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 26/06/2025 10:19

boredom/see food-eat food snacking is still something I need to deal with. On office days, I eat very well. WFH days I just keep wandering into kitchen and stuffing something in my mouth because it's there.

2025istheyeari · 26/06/2025 10:26

Thanks everyone, my healthy weight range is 8st 9 to 11st 9/ 55-73kg which is a massive range!

I think I’m going to aim for 10 10 which will put me at 22.8 and means I have another 16 pounds to go, that feels doable and I can always change it right. I’ve got a few holidays over the summer but hoping to lose weight albeit more slowly and move my Oushk maintenance call out to early September.

Will def keep an eye out for weights, I finish work on Monday so lots of time to get out and exercise, that’s the plan anyway!!

2025istheyeari · 26/06/2025 10:27

Sorry @myladyjane i didn’t see your post before mine. Sending healing vibes, hope you’re ok. What kind of tv do you like to watch?

mince3point14159265 · 26/06/2025 14:07

@discov You're looking fab, you've done so well! I do think you will have to be a bit patient in waiting for the skin to catch up with the weight loss. I wish my belly looked as good as your starting position! I still very much have the B belly with a very firm upper B part; it's not melting any time soon! 😭

If you're looking for an easy way into introducing some exercise though, I started the Yoga with Adrienne online videos (Youtube) at the beginning of the year. She did a 7 day Prana course at the beginning of the year (instead of her usual 30 day new year programs) which was a nice and not too challenging way to begin and then I've done others at random, but this one has been a bit of a fave and has some core exercises in there:
I quite like returning to it and seeing how much easier I find it now the humungous flab is reduced!

- YouTube

Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

Thank you mince pie!! Maybe in another 6 months time things may have shifted a bit. I always forget about Adrienne - I used to do her videos a long time ago and just fell out of the habit. My dd is getting into yoga at the minute so I wonder if she would do it with me. I do also wonder how much easier it will be if I go back to Bikram classes as I cope so much better with the heat now I’m a few stone down.

discov · 26/06/2025 14:11

@0ncemorewithfee1ing so sorry you’re feeling fed up. I would struggle to feel positive too as it feels like such a long slog. How much do you have left to lose?

mince3point14159265 · 26/06/2025 14:11

@myladyjane wishing you a speedy recovery! My guy that colours my hair recommended The Four Seasons on Netflix (we always swap tv recommendations when I see him!). Just binged that over the last few night and was very enjoyable (only 9 30 min episodes). Steve Carrell & Tina Fey in a remake of the Alan Alda film (who does have a cameo role!).

Thank you @discov At least another 4-5 stone, I’m afraid

I’m not sure if I have the blues as a side effect of MJ or because of the lack of progress in MJ! Either way…

MJalltheway · 26/06/2025 15:14

@0ncemorewithfee1ing have you considered trying another WLI? I tried saxenda last year before MJ and didn't have any luck with it, but it shows how different meds can affect you differently.

I'm sorry you are feeling low 😞
It's hard when you end goal still feels far away and I think we are so far into the journey that the novelty has well and truly worn off. I've had a massive slow down and only lost about 2lbs this month, which just makes you feel demotivated. Sending hugs

0ncemorewithfee1ing · 26/06/2025 15:28

@MJalltheway I think MJ is seen as the gold standard - albeit that I believe there’s something coming down the track which is supposed to be even more effective.

myladyjane · 26/06/2025 15:51

@0ncemorewithfee1ing I am so sorry you are feeling down. I don’t have any suggestions or bright ideas but just wanted to say it sucks balls for you and I it’s understandable that you feel a bit beat up. Is there anything you can do as a treat just for you? A new book or nail varnish or something small and indulgent just because. 30 mins by yourself to listen to audio book or a podcast. Just a bit of a breather.

myladyjane · 26/06/2025 15:55

Thanks for the healing vibes. It was only a tiny thing really (the scary bit is the results :( ). But it’s on a leg so sore. I’ve watched a film, read some book and now going to make some breakfast muffins on one foot.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 26/06/2025 16:21

@myladyjane a funny looking mole? When do you get the results?

myladyjane · 26/06/2025 17:27

@HeidiNotSoHeavy - yes exactly that. About 4 weeks I think.

Polkadotdash · 26/06/2025 18:40

So I heard back from Vinted. And no, they don’t agree with me that the posts I reported should be removed. This means they are ok with with girls under 18 posed in sexually provocative stances selling clothes to fit 11 year olds. They are also ok with adult women dressed as 11 year old girls, also braless and pouting. I completely despair. The audience for these items is very clearly not parents shopping for their daughters. How can they be ok with that? Surely they have a safeguarding role for under 18s? I was going to let daughter look through listings to find what she needed, but I’m not now.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 26/06/2025 19:34

@myladyjane wow that's a long time to wait! Fx it's nothing.

MJalltheway · 26/06/2025 19:55

Help, I've just realised I'm going to a concert at the royal Albert hall next week and have NOTHING TO WEAR that fits me! My posh stuff is now all too big. Although, do people dress up to go there, I've never been?! Don't want to rock up in a nice frock if everyone else is in jeans!

I think I need to do some emergency shopping!

mince3point14159265 · 26/06/2025 20:57

Think it probably depends what kind of concert @MJalltheway ; certainly when I've been and it's pop/jazz sort of acts everyone is very casual. Hope you have a great time!

@Polkadotdash that's just ridiculous! 🤬 Unfortunately, I think it's one of those
areas where it takes en masse complaining to get anywhere. Perhaps the forces of MN could be stirred if you felt up to it?

It's a classical concert. I've panic-ordered some maxi dresses tonight so should have something to choose from I hope. Not hugely formal but dressier than my usual jeans or leggings!

MJalltheway · 27/06/2025 07:07

Weigh in and jab day today - jab 23...

SW 101kg
CW 82.4kg
GW 70kg
Loss this week 0.9kg

60% of the way there! Next mini target is to get to 3 stone loss, another 0.4 kg to reach that so hopefully should be next week. I had in mind to reach 3 stone down before the end of term so that would be perfect.

2025istheyeari · 27/06/2025 07:15

Huge congratulations @MJalltheway, that’s a brilliant loss!
A maxi dress sounds perfect ( and will be cool in this heat!!), enjoy the concert!

@myladyjane hope they’ll get results to you sooner and that everything ok.

@0ncemorewithfee1ing, I’m so sorry, that sounds rubbish. Have you tried talking to your provider to see if they can maybe help/ have some suggestions? Really hope something changes and the weight starts shifting…

@Polkadotdash that’s rubbish. Have to say I’m v unimpressed with Vinted, yes it’s fine if a sale/ purchase is without any problems but try and deal with customer service about anything and you can forget it. Agree though that this sounds extremely inappropriate, could you speak to a watchdog about it? Don’t know who that would be 🤔
