evening losers! I tried boob or bust yesterday and it told me 34E. Tried that size on in M&S today and was busting out, so maybe I naffed uo the measurements?

NSV today! My size 14 M&S wide legged jeans that had virtually sliced me in two about four weeks ago are now a perfect fit! I’ve not been a 14 since before having my oldest child who is 18 this year!

On the not-so-great front, my arse is disappearing fast! It’s always been curvy and so I am going I crack on with more squats tomorrow. I had been doing uphill walking on my treadmill but it’s evidently no where near enough butt work.

And finally, on an emotionally front, today was the first time in nearly 20 years that I’ve looked in a mirror in a changing room and liked what I saw. I’ve always dreaded them, knowing I was hefty but despite still being over 12 stone, I’m objectively not hefty anymore!

agreed on the Bravissimo recommend rations btw - they’re fantastic!

And if anyone comes across an affordable dupe of the Bravissimo Satine, please share. I buy most of my clothes off Vinted but I draw the line at bras!!

you can find new with tags ones on Vinted - worth a go!

I've been paranoid about that happening @HeidiNotSoHeavy ! Mine are definitely more flappy round the bum than I'm comfortable with. Luckily I almost always wear trousers so they'll not have far to escape to if they make a bid for freedom.

@meatyryvita thats a really great NSV in the mirror ❤️

MJalltheway · 24/06/2025 21:00

@mince3point14159265 just looked up the Empreinte Thalia bra.

can someone explain the name? English is obviously not my first language.

discov · 24/06/2025 21:17

English is my only language and I still don’t get it 😂

Jins · 24/06/2025 21:18

Mince pie

Took me till last thread

Not so much English as maths!

discov · 24/06/2025 21:24

Ok that’s definitely why I didn’t get it haha! Very clever

mince3point14159265 · 24/06/2025 21:24

They do last well @MJalltheway but expensive, yes.

mince3point14159265 · 24/06/2025 21:32

One of my favourite usernames that someone on MN uses is C8H10N4O2. I spent ages trying to work out what it spelt until she finally said that it was the chemical formula for caffeine. Brilliant! And Jesusinthecabbagevan always makes me smile whenever I see her name pop up in a thread. My Ocado deliveries always seem a let down after that name! 😂

mince3point14159265 · 24/06/2025 21:38

And you surprise me @HeidiNotSoHeavy ; apologies but I'd presumed you were an expat living abroad as your English is first rate! But just to check your MN credentials, which one is correct:
a) Chester Draws
b) Chest of drawers
😜😂

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 24/06/2025 21:44

For all intensive purposes, I've always taken it for granite that it's pacifically chester draws

mince3point14159265 · 24/06/2025 21:54

🤣🤣🤣

There will be reaper cushions for that, @HeidiNotSoHeavy

Polkadotdash · 24/06/2025 23:04

I looked at the tags on Bravissimo bras on eBay and they aren’t much cheaper than in the shop. Maybe £5 less. Outrageous!

Polkadotdash · 24/06/2025 23:12

I’ve also spent this evening looking back through pictures on my phone to try to pinpoint when my weight was last in the ok zone and when it got really out of control. I think it was around 2019, which is when I went on anti depressants and later that year was diagnosed with fibroids for the first time. Then lockdown and the comfort eating started in earnest. I’m now thinking if I can stop the comfort eating through using MJ, and hopefully once the fibroids are out next week that will help, but will I be able to do anything about the medication weight?

0ncemorewithfee1ing · 25/06/2025 00:26

Brilliant user name @mince3point14159265 ! I’d never have got it so thanks to @Jins for the explanation.

‘pacifically’ is one of my (many) pet hates @HeidiNotSoHeavy - along with ‘damp squid’, an eggcorn which does at least amuse me as I wince!

spanieleyes · 25/06/2025 06:07

5 stone exactly today!
only another 4 to go😳

MJalltheway · 25/06/2025 07:14

5 stone is incredible @spanieleyes 🙌 How long has it taken you?

I'm surprised too @HeidiNotSoHeavy , your English is so good and you write so wittily!

Little milestone for me this morning - 60% of the way to goal! I've made a little notes file of remaining milestones on the way to goal so I can tick them off. First one done. 😁

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 25/06/2025 07:59

@mince3point14159265 no need to apologise, I am an expat indeed - just not English.

And @spanieleyes incredible achievement!

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 25/06/2025 08:05

Fellow losers, go outside try something - look at your shadow. When I look in the mirror, I often still see only the flaws - hmm, my knees are looking funny. But just went out, sun was behind me and the shadow, it was not a shadow of an overweight person. So not used to it.

Thelittlestranger · 25/06/2025 08:09

Just caught up on the bra chat. For the record, I buy Bravissimo and am currently contemplating a two piece for holiday from there. Ay other recommendations for good swimwear would be very welcome! Latest measurement I am now down to 34E

Today's weigh in is 3lbs down after 2 weeks of pretty much staying the same so pleased with that. 9stone 3 now! Way past my goal and 24 BMI.

NSV - tried on a dress with NO bra yesterday and I can actually get away with it. Quite something to get my head round...

BlueLimes · 25/06/2025 08:16

fab losses @Thelittlestranger @MJalltheway @spanieleyes

I’m going to recheck bra size - I dint feel a 32.

week 23
I jabbed 12.5 rather than going up as I’ve increased gym routine and was getting a bit dizzy like others. Anyway Finally a loss !! 2lbs this week and my weight start (just) with a 9.
SW 12.2
CW 9.13 and a half

Think adjusting goal weigh to 8.13

Amazing work!! Well done. Has that all been on MJ or did you lose some beforehand? What a fabulous achievement.

I looked through my MyFitnessPal data from the last couple of years and I was 5st heavier in summer 2023, which I hadn’t really registered until now. I’m 1.6lbs off losing 3st since I started in January and lost a couple more over the year before that. It’s quite a lot when you think about it!
