@giggly Wow 6 stone that is incredible!! Well done! 🎉🎉🎉.
I've had the burps on this dose for similar days - have you found anything that helped? I was hoping my body would adjust .. But maybe not. Pepto bismol helps me but I know you're not supposed to keep using it so - I'd love to get rid of them!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 22/06/2025 15:01

I have a milestone to share.

I've now lost 7 and a half stone.

Today I'm 12st 9lb after 18 months. I had a BMI of 50 when I started. I was over 20st.

Keep going, everyone. You'll get there.

That is amazing! Jolly well done!

GnomeDePlume · 23/06/2025 07:04

It has struck me after reading posts about properly fitting bras that I am going to have to abandon my 'comfort' bras at some point. I'm not blessed in the bust department. As the weight came on my bust just kind of merged with the overall barrel shape.

At some point my bust might actually get a life all of its own. The idea of having a fitted bra is totally alien to me.

TragicMuse · 23/06/2025 08:34

Also, a properly fitting bra helps with posture and the overall ‘look’ - I know when I’ve got a good bra on I don’t look quite so…saggy? I slouch a little less! It’s not ‘flattering’ in the ‘less fat’ meaning, but it definitely helps with standing up and feeling a bit of confidence.

Kay2000 · 23/06/2025 08:38

@giggly that’s fabulous, life changing isn’t it?! I’m also a slow and steady person as I can’t do much exercise. Well done 👍🏻

@GnomeDePlume I’m the opposite, far too much boobage and I so wish I could share! Even at my slimmer younger self I was 32E and now I’m (still) in a 54G 😳. They cause pain and discomfort, I can’t wait for them to get the message and start shrinking. I know given my age I’ll be left with empty sacks but honestly, I can’t wait. My bra is whipped off the minute I’m home. I’ve lost 3 stone and only ONE INCH on my boobs 🤦‍♀️. The band has obviously shrunk as one bra is too big now on the tightest setting but the cup size seems fixed for now!

I've gone from a 44 ggggggggg or something to a 40 something, haven't been measured for years, just using all my old bras 😂. Even at my slimmest (ie a healthy BMI) I've been in size 36.

Motnight · 23/06/2025 09:24

I'm sure on one of these threads Amazon has been suggested for buying bras!

I've gone from 44K down to 36G.

I've got some 34G bras in the drawer, ready for the next milestone.
Vinted has been a lifesaver. At least all the bras in the way down weren't more than £5 - £7.

@GnomeDePlume, too much boobage here as well! I’ve gone from a 44g to a 38h 😭 I want pert little boobs but that’s never going to happen. I’m going to end up around a 32/34 k or l cup at this rate, or I may be able to fold up all the loose skin in an origami style to fit into a smaller cup 🤣

Yes, I've bought bras on there as well, but they're not especially cheap IME.

I've lost a stone and 1 pound so far on Mounjaro
SW 19 stone
CW 17 stone 11 pounds.
Already feeling a difference, dropped a dress size with the tops. Wore a jacket yesterday that was tight in January, and felt much looser.
Waist is still the same size but have lost inches and stomach already looking a different shape (I hold most of the weight in my stomach).
Only negative thing is that I am having problems with my knees because they have lost the fat padding in the joints and are feeling sore because they have nothing there to cushion them.

Try actimel yoghurt drinks, they help with the burps.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 23/06/2025 10:26

Well done @Isobel201 and I agree about the Actimel.
I have one every day.

Hello team, I have a query regarding the rate of weight loss.. I was one of the ones who lost a lot the first week but since then I’ve plateaued.
First jab 6th June and by 15th June I’d lost 12lb, since then nothing. Suppression has been good, I’m eating better and feeling much better, averaging 1100 calories per day.
Is my journey normal? I know it’s a marathon and not a sprint, but not even a lb in 8 days? I didn’t really want to go up to a 5 dose yet, as the suppression is working, any reassurance or advice welcomed x

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 23/06/2025 10:50

Wow, some great milestones achieved here this week, it’s so inspiring to see where I could be in a few months.

i had a couple of NSV this week:

  • had bloods checked for diabetes, cholesterol, heart disease checks etc and all came back normal
  • i went to the theatre in London and could fit in the seat! I came so close to pulling out as I was going on my own (to see a long held personal hero) and it was my first big outing since ankle surgery on my own, I was so dreading the steps and worried about the seat size, but all was fine and I had a great evening! The tube seats were not so kind but that will come.

After 7 weeks:
SW 140 kg BMI 48.2
CW 131 kg BMI 45.3
GW TBD, first target 126kg to get me under 20 stone!

Motnight · 23/06/2025 10:53

@PloopDeck I have had weeks of not losing weight and then sudden whooshes. I would say trust the process. If you are eating fewer calories than you are expending you will lose weight!

TheZingyFish · 23/06/2025 11:08

Week 11 1lb off
SW 24st 9lbs
CW 22st 5.5lbs
Total lost 2st 3.5lbs

Happy days, have eaten out one evening, and had takeaway pizza one evening and I still lost.

Love hearing everyone’s stories, the bra thing resonates particularly. I’ve always gone for sturdy bras that do hold things up as this was one thing that helped me feel better about myself knowing there was a waist somewhere under my boobs. I’ve always described my figure as an hour glass as I do go in and out, but one where time passes quickly as my waist is so large!

Izzydogmum · 23/06/2025 11:15

hi all!

my gosh this thread is quick, I leave it for a morning and then 30-odd comments.
I hope you all are doing well and this weather is showing us all improvements in coping with it. TMI Underboob is not my friend right now though!

weigh in 6. (week 2 on 5mg
SW: 286lbs
CW: 273.2lbs
loss this week: 1.7lbs

got a theatre trip on 19/07 so would love to fit in the seat comfortably by then.

starting a new fitness class tonight, Zumba but to movie soundtracks. Hopefully a good laugh!

have a good week all. It’s Jab time for me!

Thanks @Motnightjab 4 is due Thursday, so I’ll try not to weigh until then. You’re right.. I’m consistently hitting my calorie deficit and I really do FEEL better 😊

I read somewhere it might also be the weather. Since it's so hot, the body tries to hold onto more water than usual to help with dehydration. Agree with the previous posters of 'trust the process'. Weightloss is a basic science (for the most part) so as long as you're eating less calories than you need, the weight will come off. You've got this!!! 👏

plateuing is normal, I tend to find that my hormones are more active around the middle of the month, and this makes me either maintain or even gain one pound, but I know its not fat, its just water weight that will come off again.

Hi fellow losers, good news and bad news.

Firstly good news and my NSV this weekend. I went to a gig and was able to buy t-shirt merch that ACTUALLY FIT ME! I have never been small enough to fit into any merch that I wanted to buy. Bought myself a wonderful t-shirt and spent the whole gig taking photos of myself (probably more than the artist) because I was just so happy. 😂

SUPPORT NEEDED FOR BELOW!

The bad news - Some of you may remember I posted last month about going on holiday for a few days, and my fear has been realised. I've fallen off the wagon since then. I've still been jabbing, but not been as strict with my calorie intake, starting to go off the taste of water a bit, and just in general not being sensible with my decisions. It's meant that I have maintained for a month since the holiday, and at 19 stone and £150 monthly cost, I've got a long way to go.

It doesn't help that hubby has lost 3 stone and is now at goal weight, so he is officially maintaining. So I feel like I'm on my own again, it was much easier to have a 'buddy'.

I need to give my head a wobble, so any advice or support with the above is greatly appreciated. I really value this thread as there are people here who have been in the same situations as me.

It really does show that the jabs don't do it all.

Try sugar free squash - a good one that doesn't have harmful sweeteners is Robinsons fruit creations. Other than that, just go back to basics foodwise and try again! Its not going to be a smooth journey, but this thread will help you over the bumps!
