Weigh in number 11 today, and another 2lb off. I should be happy, and I am, but I am desperate to get into the teens, and was really hoping it would be this week. Gah, never mind, I will resist stamping my feet like a spoiled brat, and instead look forward to hopefully seeing it next week.

A couple of little NSVs this week. I went to a concert, and danced my legs off all night. I think I only sat down once, it was an amazing night. Then I had a rare trip to the pub last night to have tea with a friend. I walked there and back, around a mile each way, and chose wisely from the menu. Previously, I would have driven there, and probably chosen a burger & chips, followed by a huge dessert.

I love reading about everyones little NSVs, it wonderful. It's these little things, that are so normal to most people, that really make such a huge difference to us.

SW 22st 8lb
CW 20st
GW 11st 4lb

Onwards & downwards ladies, here's to a great week

Iwouldratherbesinging · 20/06/2025 10:57

I have a random nsv….
The floorboards creak in our house from the bedroom to the bathroom quite loudly when I walk on them, this last week I’ve noticed that they are silent! So even my house is grateful

SilenceInside · 20/06/2025 13:38

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden congratulations on hitting the 40 BMI point! I am sure you will duck under it and onto the chart this week.

@Lds1 it's brilliant to be able to go to something like a festival, have a great time and still be on track afterwards.

@Kay2000 I hope you break out of your stall soon, it's so frustrating when you're doing everything the same but not getting the results.

@Doggymummar it's great to have a pleasant surprise of weighing a bit less and being a cm taller!

@Billybingbong congratulations on getting to 20st, and soon to be into the teens.

@Iwouldratherbesinging I think your floorboard update is one of the best NSV I have ever read!

It's so helpful to read about everyone's updates, whether it's a loss, a plateau or a gain, and all the NSVs too.

My weigh in this week, week 50:

SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 83.2kg (13st 1lbs), was 84kg (13st 3lbs), last week.
GW: 81kg (12st 11 lbs) fifth interim goal

Current pen: 10mg, 6 weeks on this dose.

A loss of 0.8kg or about 1.75 pounds this week. Made it to 75% of the way to my goal weight of 10st 4lbs. Lost just over 40% (8st 11lbs) of my starting weight, and my BMI is now 30.19. So damn close to getting out of the obese category!

AlicesMum2025 · 20/06/2025 13:40

Just posted about an NSV on the May monthly thread - I can feel my collarbones now, although they aren't visible in the mirror yet.

But another one I just thought of is that my joint pain has already reduced, and that's with a loss of 'only' 10kg (1st 9.5lbs). One of my knees was always sore but now it's mostly ok. I had an ankle surgery after a bad break and the niggling pain there has also reduced.

At 46 I'm hoping that I've managed to push off oseteoarthritis in my knee for a while longer with some weight loss. According to the surgeon though, I'm almost guaranteed to get traumatic arthritis in my ankle - 🤞 not for a while yet either.

TragicMuse · 20/06/2025 14:36

I put 1lb back on yesterday dammit! It’ll be fine but I’m annoyed and I don’t know why. Probably not enough water.

GnomeDePlume · 20/06/2025 15:06

That's excellent @SilenceInside I am in awe.

That's great to be feeling the benefit quickly @AlicesMum2025 .

I understand the annoyance @SilenceInside . You think 'dagnammit, I'm putting the work in.'

NSV if the day, I'm sat at the diabetes eye clinic (waiting for snow blindness to set in). I sat down in one of the standard waiting room chairs. No looking around for one of the wider ones.

GnomeDePlume · 20/06/2025 15:26

Sorry, that comment about annoyance should have been to @TragicMuse ! Obviously eye drops had leaked into my brain!

PloopDeck · 20/06/2025 15:50

Hello! As others have said, it’s so lovely to have support for longterm sloggers who have lots to lose. I am on week 3 and have lost 12lbs so far, the majority in the first week. I’m tall which luckily has helped to ‘hide’ the full extent of my weight, but I really feel it and have dreamt of feeling as accepting of my outside as I am of my inside. If that makes sense!

Ultimately I need to lose 10st, but I’m starting with smaller goals and will assess when I reach those. I cannot see how my frame can ever weigh ‘just’ 12st, I reckon I could be a size 14 and be happy, but let’s see where we get to.

SW 22st 2lbs
Dress size 18 on top 22 on bottom
CW 21st 4lbs

TidyWasp · 20/06/2025 17:48

Congratulations to all on the NSV's, love reading them!

Understand the frustration as well, I seem to have massively slowed down over the last 10 days. Need to stop weighing so often and just trust the process I think...

Just taken my first 5mg so we'll see how that goes. Very grateful for MJ keeping me going where at this point I'd normally be face down in a bar of Galaxy :)

mamabeeboo · 20/06/2025 17:52

NSV here!

40lbs down 👇

The shower door has always been a bit of a tight squeeze going in and out. And I've always felt a bit gross rubbing my whole self across the glass pain to get in.
Today I went in and went out, no contact.
I didn't even realise until I came out and thought "hang on, what just happened?" I even went in and back out again just to check I didn't walk in a strange angle or something 😂

Fffreeeeezing · 20/06/2025 18:27

Weigh in number 14 and another 3lb loss taking me to a total of 3st 3lb.

Positives from the last week:

  • I had a battery of blood tests and they’ve all come back okay (which surprised me more than anyone)
  • I am not feeling this heat, it’s bizarre. I’m not cold either, I’m just nothing.
  • I’m sleeping great
Negatives:
  • I had to buy a knee support for my knackered knee and it cost £30 because I had to buy a special ‘plus size’ version so it would fit. The ‘normal’ version was about a fiver, grrrrr
  • I’m still over 50 BMI (just over 52 in fact) and still have a stone to go before I get under 300lb, feels like it’s taking forever. Don’t remember feeling like this during the Lighterlife milkshake diet and I get to eat proper food this time!
TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 20/06/2025 18:41

You're doing just fine @Fffreeeeezing

It'll happen for you. It's happened for all of us, although I completely understand your impatience.

I have joined a local hotel leisure club, it’s only a small pool and most times it’s only myself and husband in…we go twice a week.
Ive always been scared of water but now I love it and have learned to swim, I really think it and the short walks we do has helped my weight loss and fitness.

I am sure you will love it, not sure I could handle outdoors though…I’m always nesh now…enjoy.

Nesh? I know where you’re from lol. 😜

I’m from Nottingham originally although haven’t lived there for 20 years. Nesh is something my parents said. I’m usually nesh on MJ but not today 🥵

Edited

My Cheshire born and bred nan would call me nesh if I needed a jacket. I think it was assumed as we grew up in the south we must be soft!
Ironically she was incredibly nesh - she'd still have been sporting a vest in today's heat.

PearlsPearl · 21/06/2025 08:11

Morning everyone, the NSVs on this thread make me so happy. Loved @mamabeeboo fitting through the shower and checking again, that must have felt amazing.

I went very hot and sick last night while sat in the garden... I'm up in Scotland so it was only 24. I am hoping losing weight will stop me overheating as much, I hate being hot and sweaty.

Looking forward to weighing on the 25th which will be month 1 done!

GnomeDePlume · 21/06/2025 08:51

Measured myself yesterday, I'm a size 26 in Next-land. Which I am pleased about. Means hight street clothing is becoming accessible.

I'm on holiday this week. We aren't going away but will be doing 'holiday at home' for food. It will be interesting to see what the impact is.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 21/06/2025 09:09

I didnt deal with heat well when I was slim but likewise am hoping losing weight will ease it - and hasn't yet! When I was first on MJ. I used to freeze and have chills after the jabs.... I haven't got that now!!

In other news..... I know it will likely bounce around for a week or two but look what happened this morning!

I'M ON THE CHART!!!

YAY @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden that must feel good!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 21/06/2025 09:24

It's crazy isn't it. I love being on this group. Most people "out there" would be horrified to be at the end of that line/there on the chart. I'm so glad you all get the excitement 😁😁

Motnight · 21/06/2025 09:42

Good morning all. Sitting in my garden not looking forward to the temp reaching 34 today 😂. But feeling 100 times better than I would have a year ago.

Congratulations @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden 😀

Iwouldratherbesinging · 21/06/2025 09:43

Oh my goodness @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden! Go girl! I’m doing a happy dance for you ❤️

An orthopaedic Consultant told me that for every 1 stone of weightloss, that’s the equivalent of 3 stones less pressure on your joints.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 21/06/2025 10:26

Thankyou for celebrating with me 😁🎉.
Wow 3stone per stone.... 😳. That's a lot of pressure on our joints.
