What does NSV mean please?

Non scale victory is how I always read it 😊

NK77 · 19/06/2025 12:21

Brilliant thank you both 🙂

WafflingDreamer · 19/06/2025 16:51

What are your go to meals when suppression hits and you don't really fancy anything? I normally have what I make everyone else but they are having steak, eggs, chips and beans and all of those give me awful sulphur burps, take forever to digest and make me super constipated so I try to avoid them particularly all together. Trouble is I don't really want anything but I need to eat something as I've only had a small breakfast and a protein shake

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 19/06/2025 17:13

@WafflingDreamer how about a glass of milk and some fruit salad?

I usually have something super boring like beans on toast with a sprinkling of cheese. Or a chicken salad in a protein wrap. Anything light but protein heavy really

MummyInTheNecropolis · 19/06/2025 18:00

It’s super boring I know but I usually go for a salad with either chicken or tuna. Light and easy and I know it’s doing me good.

Jab and weigh day for me today, I’ve lost another 2lbs. I know that’s a good loss and I should be happy but can’t help feeling a bit gutted cos if I’d lost 3lbs would’ve taken me to a 7 stone loss overall! Oh well, hopefully that will happen next week! 🤞

Quitepossibly · 19/06/2025 19:14

I've just taken the golden dose out of my 2.5 pen and was hoping I'd get a bit more than 0.6 but that was all that was left. Ideally, I was hoping to take 3.75 this week as a stepping stone to 5.0. Can I 'top up' with a bit more from my 5.0 pen (if so how much), or am I best to wait until next week and do a full dose from the 5.0 pen. Thoughts?

I’d probably leave it till next week. Not sure why I think that! Maybe because I’d be jeopardising the bonus 5th from the next pen…

My go to is always prawns and avocado, oh and dill pickles, I love them so much I swig the juice out of the jar 🤣

I did that once, but don’t make the same mistake as me, I drew the top up out of the new pen with a syringe rather than putting a new needle on and counting the clicks. I realised the mistake I’d made when I came to take my next dose, I’m not sure of the ‘physics’ but it’s like I had created a gap in the pen and there was no pressure when pushing the plunger bit down for the first bit of the dose, it was like it was just air, I haven’t explained that very well, sorry!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 20/06/2025 07:16

So jab 24 here today. I'm a pound down but both excitingly and frustratingly Im now exactly on bmi 40! I played with the NHS calculator and another 300grams and I'd be under 40 and On The Chart. I so much want to be On The Chart!

I may weigh a few times this week to see if it comes 😁. I love knowing that it will come. That I have reassurance this is working.

I'm struggling a bit with burps. Both sulphur sometimes and just burps and I'm client facing. Pepto bismol does seem to work but I'm nervous to do that every week. It says to use for 2days only and I don't want it to aggrivate my stomach. But it works... Peppermint capsules seem to help a bit. And gaviscin/rennes don't seem to stop the burps. Not had them for a few days but

I'm jabbing today so they'll be back 🙈.

Ive got a new 7.5 pen for next week and thinking if at this stage it's dropping to a pound a week I should have gone higher -, but will see and know for next time!

Doggymummar · 20/06/2025 07:33

Oh no I'm so constipated 🤕 it's the one where you know it's going to be so painful and make you sweat. Sorry. We only have one loo so I am going to make a concerted effort when my partner goes to visit his sister at about 9.30, wish me luck

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 20/06/2025 07:34

Oh no Doggy that's horrible. Have you taken anything for it? Good luck.

Oooooh good luck @Doggymummar - it is the worst feeling! Fingers crossed you are now thoroughly emptied out!

Motnight · 20/06/2025 07:45

Ouch! good luck @Doggymummar

Motnight · 20/06/2025 07:48

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden being on the chart is a lovely feeling 🙂

Lds1 · 20/06/2025 07:51

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden I got on the chart on Christmas day, like an extra Christmas gift!

Doggymummar · 20/06/2025 07:54

Mission accomplished 💪 it's so cool you guys know what I mean. I made a coffee with 4 spoons of granules and ten minutes later it was gongi go. I have a drs appointment at 8.30 for height weight and blood pressure so I'll be a little bit lighter. Also got my weighin with oushk tomorrow morning so glad it's done.

Yay doggy! It's always good when it actually happens isn't it!

And @Lds1 and @Motnight - yay hopefully I'll be there very soon!!

I started a week into January and it's nearly half the year. If I lose again what I have already (I know it might slow) I will still be obese at the end of the year. Its crazy to think after a year I will be where many people start mounjaro. (I know you on this thread will get this!) But for me I'd love to be just into obese - I would look and be so different to how I am now even! It's a good goal 😁..

Lds1 · 20/06/2025 08:26

It's been a year for me nearly and I'm still obese, getting annoying now!

I went to a festival which was amazing, didn't eat excessively and when I got back put on 2kg but its quickly gone so I assume water and probably swelling a bit from the heat/walking.

I weighed today so a day late and I'm back on track.

SW 142.8kg / 22 stone, 6 lb and 13.12 oz
CW 91.3kg / 14 stone, 5 lb and 4.51 oz
Total loss 51.5kg / 8 stone, 1 lb and 8.61 oz
BMI 50.8 now 32.5
To go 31.3kg / 4 stone, 13 lb and 0.08 oz

Kay2000 · 20/06/2025 08:30

Stalled 😣
Hi everyone, a new thread that I’ve missed. Since January I’ve lost 2lb under 3st but nothing for the past 3 weeks which is frustrating as I don’t feel I’m doing anything wrong. I’m on 6.25 and when I’ve tried 7.5 I get really bad diarrhoea. I’ve not been calorie counting or anything up to now, just no snacking and eating to appetite. Maybe I need to do a few weeks calorie counting just to see what I am eating? I know the balance between losing weight and not losing weight can be as little as a couple of hundred calories over. And I have nothing much on next week so I’ll try 7.5 again.

My back and neck have been really awful so my exercise has slumped too. I’m planning to restart going to the pool next week and just walking in the water as swimming is making my neck worse unfortunately.

Apart from no weight loss I still feel really well on MJ - no brain fog, more active, less inflammation in my legs and feet. I even had a trip to London to see my son and go to a stationery fair and I walked using one crutch but managed much better.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 20/06/2025 08:46

That chart is teasing you @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden! I had a little celebration when I finally appeared on it, it’s only us that get the celebrating about being at the top of obese on the nhs chart 😁 and as you say, I am so happy that I am now obese, it’s such a good feeling.

phew @Doggymummar I’m glad you followed up with good news! Glycerine suppositories are always on hand for when I’m in those situations. Good luck at the GPs.

glad you’re back on track @Lds1 and had a great time at the festival. Oh @Kay2000 that’s not good, but it’s good that you found us again. I don’t calorie count but have always said that if I stall then I suppose I’ll have to, but could you try a couple (or even one) of very low calorie, or OMAD days to kick start the weight loss again? Good news about the stationery fair though, you weren’t stationary (sorry, couldn’t help myself)!

Kay2000 · 20/06/2025 09:04

@Iwouldratherbesinging I had my stationary moments 🤣. And yes, a couple of OMAD is a good idea thanks. I’m currently sat in bed at 9am, and am hungry, which shows the MJ isn’t working like it used to, as I can usually make it to a late lunch easily. I’ll definitely do 7.5 on Sunday and ready the Imodium!

Doggymummar · 20/06/2025 09:24

Back from the GP, it's self serviced really there's a little cubicle where you do your blood pressure with scales and a height chart. I weighed 73kilos on their scales, I don't know kilos so I had to check when I got home and that's 2.5kilos less than my scales at home which say 166lb which is 75.5kgs. I am also an inch taller than I told the pharmacy, I was probably kidding myself at the beginning that I wouldn't qualify, when my BMI was 42.8. I've used my own scales all the way though so I'm not going to adjust my weight as next week when I weigh I will be up half a stone which will be untrue.

I don't know if any of you are on the Oushk Facebook site. It's not as fanatical as it used to be, I've left it twice due to sanctimonious people spouting on. But over the last day of two they have been posting AI images of their start weigh, where they are now and goal weight. It can be hard to imagine if you are like me and hid from the camera. You attach a couple of pictures or describe yourself then add you height weight and it generated the pictures. Might be useful to know, I'm gonna do mine today probably won't post but just for interest. Anyhoo, have a great day everyone
