Suddenly hurts when injectecting

Hi, I've done 12 Mounjaro injections and the first 10 were fine I didn't even feel the needle. The last two which are a new pen suddenly really hurt. It's almost like they are blunt and I have to really stab them in my skin. Just done my 12th about 20mins ago and I can feel it still in my leg now. It's really strange. No skin reaction last time and only a tiny mark last week small bruise but no worse than the previous times. Not sure what's going on. Anyone else had this? I always alternate so last week did stomach, today I did my thigh.

Any chance it’s a different brand of needle from your previous pen?

No just checked and it's exactly same brand and size etc.

I get the occasional one that unexpectedly stings a little. I know you're supposed to avoid stretch marks but on my stomach that is a job of work. You can also sometimes hit a nerve apparently, or there might have been a slightly large air bubble in the needle.

Yes! This happened to me on last injection (about 17 others with no problem). I am
not great with needles anyway, but this was sore. I am trying to convince myself that there is less flesh there now so maybe that’s why it’s painful…

@Lola50 I wish that was the case but sadly my thighs have not lost much weight yet! @SilenceInside it's possible last week I hit a stretch mark as I did my stomach but I didn't today on my thigh.

Me too. I only posted the question on my monthly group today! My last 2 which have been from a new pen have been stingers! Both when going in and taking out. Same needles too.

Im a wimp so actually get my hubby to jab me. Im not so sure he will do it next week after the accusations i made yesterday 😂
