…I really want and need this after years of yo-yo dieting and my weight ballooning, so why do I feel insanely anxious?

Please just do it. It doesn’t hurt (can’t even feel it the needle is so fine and I’m a wuss - had to check it was actually in).
It is working for me so far - 4 stone down and I wish I’d done it sooner.

Thank you. It’s not the injection I’m worried about actually!

If I’m honest it’s the stigma, the feeling I’ve failed/“if only” I try harder to down next time; the potential for side effects; the what happens further down the line.

But none of that changes how desperate I’ve been for this pen to arrive!

I was the same, was really nervous, wondering if I was doing right thing. I've just had my third injection, no side effects-that was my biggest worry. Weight loss for me has been slow ish 6lb in 2 weeks.
I still feel hungry and have to be careful what I eat but food noise has lessened a but. Hoping I will feel less hungry and have less food noise when I go up to 5.
Good luck

@Dutchhouse14@TotallyFloored

I’ve done it! Feel relieved. Like a big hurdle. No going back now as they say!

i do have a red circle around the injection site though and it bled a little. Why’s this?

It’s fine. I’ve had that red circle and a bit of blood before. Just clean it and you’ll be fine.

You’ve perhaps pressed down a little too hard, is the circle the same shape as the plastic bit at the base of the pen needle and you’ve bruised a little?

I remember when I got mine, it arrived at 10.45am on a Saturday morning. By 11am I'd done my first injection and now I get excited Friday evenings for Saturday morning to take my next one. I'm almost blasé about the injection now, it's painless in my experience. I've almost lost 25kg since mid January and will soon be in double kg digits.

You're not cheating, you haven't failed in the past. Traditional weight loss companies are geared up for repeat custom and the food industry want/need us to eat their weight inducing fare so that they continue to make lots of money.

Well done, good luck with it all!
