Mounjaro delivery Asda pharmacy

Hi not sure what to do. Asda tried to deliver when I was not in so it was delivered the next day. The packaging was all wet & cooling packs were melted. I have refrigerated the pen & sent photos to Asda & asked if it is safe to use but so far no response. I am due to inject on Wednesday. Is it safe to use? Has anyone else received their pen like this? TIA

Although the packs were melted was the pen still cool to the touch? The cooling packs should keep the pen under 8 degrees even if it has taken an extra day to deliver.

Once the pen has got to above 8 degrees, you then have 30 days to use it. So if you are going to use it straight away then you should be able to fit your 4 injections within that time frame. If you think the pen might have got warmer than 30 degrees then it should be discarded, but that doesn’t seem likely at all.

Also check that the liquid in the pen is still clear and not cloudy.

Agree with this

ordered my last pen last Monday due to to current delays expected this week, but arrived on Saturday when I was away and all warm when I got it from a neighbour today (from ZAVA which also provides pens to Asda)

put strait in fridge and all clear not cloudy or clots and as long as pen is used around 30 days from now it should be all good

its my 4th pen so I’m not too worried as I’m also not increasing dosage this pen but if I get a lot SE then I will contact provider

Call them. They’re really helpful and will be able to tell you if it’s ok. They say that on one of their emails, from memory.

Thank you everyone that’s very helpful. I will check the pen isn’t cloudy before use tomorrow. I will also try to call them today. I did try on Friday but the recorded message said they cannot answer medical questions which I assumed this was 🤞🏻

They’ve answered questions from me on the delivery - hope they’re able to help you

Hi just to say after a 48 minute wait on their helpline there is 48 hour window from dispatch to delivery. The person I spoke to confirmed it is safe to use as was dispatched, delivered & refrigerated within 48 hours. Thanks everyone 😊
