So sorry, @skyscrapersinging what a beauty she is.

PurpleCoo · 05/07/2025 07:27

Sorry to hear of your losses @CoolLimeSheep and @SpiralSister

@CoolLimeSheep 14 is a great age, but whatever age, it's never enough is it? The collage tile sounds lovely. I do photography so I have some awesome photos of her with amazing backdrops that showcase her zest for life and the adventures we have had. She knows how to pose/model as well, so have some crackers.

@skyscrapersinging So sorry to hear about your cat, but glad you know the 'when' and can enjoy a last weekend of cuddles with her.

@FunnyCrabDance Haha, I know exactly what you mean about being the favourite child 😂 They are much easier 😂 I also agree about how strong we are all being, and managing in healthier ways, rather than comfort eating or falling off plan

FunnyCrabDance · 05/07/2025 07:34

This morning, for the first time in probably 20 odd years, I'm finally overweight! 🥳 (just.... i expect if i breath too deep it would ping back to 30)

Morning warriors!

Weigh in day for me. On second 7.5mg. Just had a look and it will be my 22nd injection tomorrow!

SW:15.5 BMI 35.8
CW: 12.2 BMI 28.3
GW: 10.5 BMI 24.1

Chipping away, with 2 lbs off this week. Really noticing the loose skin now, on the belly, underside of thighs and upper arms. Face and neck seem ok so far, and I had quite the collection of chins! I’m hoping a combination of weights, massage, time and wishing really quite hard will sort out the sag over time.

Look and feel so much better though.

Sending positive vibes to those having a difficult week 💐

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 05/07/2025 07:55

@skyscrapersinging @purplecoo @SpiralSister thinking of you Pets make such an impact on our lives and hearts.

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 05/07/2025 07:57

Something vaguely annoying. I realised that my end goal weight will work out at 98 pounds. I think I'll have to go down another kilo to hit 100. Should be around end of September but may creep into October. Still going to come off Mounjaro over the next 6 weeks and see how I go.

CoolLimeSheep · 05/07/2025 08:15

@PurpleCoo aww here's mine still have her collar too and some fur and pawprint that the vets did.

Congrats everyone on your losses this week
@SpiralSister my tummy's the worst for loose skin but like you feel so much better!

Oh, @CoolLimeSheep that is beautiful. It’s making me cry.

OntheTrainX · 05/07/2025 08:48

Ahhhh the pets stories ❤️ I have an elderly dog.

@FunnyCrabDance I hit 29.9 a couple of months ago and I felt epic! It feels like a milestone doesn’t it. In my case I’d been “obese” since around 2005.

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 05/07/2025 10:45

Haven't done a weight check in for a while. Numbers still going down steadily though naturally a bit slower. Averaging 1.2lbs a week now.

Today I'm wearing a muscle t type t-shirt (very short sleeves) and mid thigh denim shorts. I can't remember the last time I was dressed but had so much skin uncovered. Feels strange but also quite freeing. Even went shopping dressed like this but suspect I'll put some longer length clothes on for when we go out for lunch with DHs family shortly...

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 05/07/2025 10:59

Btw there's an interesting insight into the how regulations may begin to change for online pharmacies in the Regulators looking to cut off maintenance below 25 BMI thread on here with a post by weallhavewings at 20:35 last night

It's about Oushk but I imagine many providers will be in similar situations. Can't paste the post, link thread or quote it here unfortunately. Computer says no

usedtobeaylis · 05/07/2025 12:19

Opted to stick to Sunday jags and weigh-in for now since I took it a day late last week - might change that if/when I go up a dose. Still had a sneaky weigh and it's showing 1lb on - I suspect from upping my exercise this week and the resulting sore legs 🙂

A couple of Good Things - when I washed my hair last night, noticeably less fell out. Same when I brushed it this morning. So hopefully a corner has been turned!

And, I was cleaning out a cupboard this morning and found the bag of old clothes I had kept, hoping to fit back into. There's a pair of size 14 jeans in there and I thought, I'll try them on and see how far I've got to go. I could get them over my thighs and do them up!!!! I think they would be slightly uncomfortable after eating but before eating they were fine. Also a couple of tops and a shirt, all size 14 or medium, are now wearable! There are other 14s that aren't going near me but still!

Mum2Fergus · 05/07/2025 14:42

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 05/07/2025 16:26

Saw my SIL today. I'm betting she's another secret jabber. Told her that her clothes suited her but bit awkward to mention weight loss when I really don't know her well, or is it?

Norpops09 · 05/07/2025 20:56

Hi all,

I started my MJ journey on February 1st.

SW 12st 7lb
CW 10st 2lb
GW 8st 7lb

I've been checking in on the Feb 25 starters sporadically but this is the first time posting. This thread has really helped motivate me, seeing so many other people experiencing and feeling the same way as I have has really helped me feel less alone on this journey, so thank you. I'm currently on my 3rd week of 7.5mg and the side effects have just started to settle down again. Mounjaro is the best thing I've done in a very long time!

sweetpickle2 · 06/07/2025 03:28

Up very late/early as can’t sleep!

Today my hairdresser caught me out- she mentioned I was losing more hair than usual, I mumbled something about peri but she said “its a side effect of weight loss jabs apparently” and I just came clean as she’d previously said I was looking really trim when I turned up my appointment. She was absolutely fine about it, didn’t seem bothered at all- I suppose she meets lots of different people all day long, I probably not her first WLI!

She’s the first person I’ve told outside of my partner and close friends, and it made me realise that for everyone who is weird about it there’s someone who frankly, doesn’t give a shiny shit. I think the latter will become more common the more widespread it becomes.

mumandgran24 · 06/07/2025 08:48

Hit 3 stone loss this week which feels crazy to me. Having dieted for years I have lost 2 stone b4 but then seemed to get stuck and give up, MJ gives u the strength and ability to keep going even through plateaus and slower weeks and the weight continues its downward trend yay.

Definitely the best thing I have done and overall I think it isn’t costing that much as we are ordering way less takeaways snd buying less snacks. Even just kids wanting a cheeky maccies i just don’t and hubby was never a bit fan so we might just get for them and we eat later at home.

usedtobeaylis · 06/07/2025 10:33

Week 20, Day 1 - week 9 on 7.5mg

SW: 16st 5lb
CW: 13st 8lb
Total loss: 2st 11lb
Loss this week: none, +1lb

This is the first week I've put anything on and I feel ok about it as I upped my exercise this week.

Starting to feel very up and down food noise wise so it might be time to go up a dose after this pen is finished. I haven't binged at all and I'm still staying away from high calorie and sugary food unless it's within my calories but I definitely feel like lime cheescake is batting it's eyes at me.

WoolerOwl · 06/07/2025 12:01

Having Covid this week, feeling sick and having the squits has given me a bit of a whoosh down, so I'm now 78kg. I'm going to go back to monthly weighing now, as it helps me not to get fixated and to appreciate that things do even out over time. Next weigh in will be 26 July, which will be my 5 month point.

I am logging here my next two mini goals. Under 76kg would be 11 stone something. I haven't been 11 something for a very long time. And then 74.5kg would be a BMI of 24.9, so back in the healthy range. Starting point 100kg BMI 33.4.

I'm going on holiday, abroad, in early August, so would love to get to at least the first goal by then. The second may be possible.

I've bought a tankini, some medium sized beach cover ups, and a halter neck dress from Vinted in anticipation.

One fail though: the new Primark 34DD strapless bra from Vinted is TINY in the band. But I have some old bra extenders, so one of those has made it fit. If (when!) I get to my goal of 69kg, I might be able to wear it without the extender.

I have a five day work conference starting this Friday, so will need to be careful. The food is canteen style and very good. I will check in here to keep myself accountable. The plan is protein and veg/salad/fruit for lunch and dinner, and a pudding on the last day as a reward if I keep on track.

Mounjaroday · 06/07/2025 15:41

Congratulations on your progress everyone.

Bumped into someone I’ve not seen for a while yesterday. Walked straight past me initially, did a double take, followed by a “dang, girl!”

Much better than the other comment earlier that day. “I don’t think you have Ozempic face but maybe don’t lose anymore?”. Meow. My eyes are still rolling into the back of my head 😂

Fair to say I most definitely look very different swanning about in my new summer clothes, versus last year’s wardrobe staple of sack dress with a big dollop of self loathing linen tunics.

usedtobeaylis · 06/07/2025 23:01

I've had a strange day today. I took my dose first thing this morning and normally feel a little bit of nausea by afternoon. I didn't have this today and instead all I've felt is very hungry. I have eaten significantly over my calories - but not in a desperate binge way, I just ate differently, three meals, carb heavy. The one big difference is that I had a migraine last night, for the first time in absolute months. I feel like my body has been driving me today but not with compulsions. I don't know how to explain it. I feel like I will revert to my normal 1500 calories, two meals tomorrow very easily. They do say that every now and then you can give your metabolism a kick by blasting your calories but that wasn't my intention in any way. Just weird that I upped my exercise this week, had a migraine last night, had a gain on the scales, and felt like I needed to eat differently today.

Mounjaro is a strange thing. I don't know whether it's just hit and miss sometimes, or if I'm tuning into something in my body. There's no rhyme or reason at times.

CoolLimeSheep · 06/07/2025 23:28

@usedtobeaylis you may have needed the extra calories with the extra exercise. Mounjaro is strange at times one week i feel really nauseus then another week feel different then back to nauseus wvwn without upping dose. I think the closer we get to target it is really slow coming off and can lose inches instead of pounds so started measuring too just need stay of scales for at least 2 weeks as ive been really obsessed weighing everyday

PurpleCoo · 07/07/2025 06:35

@usedtobeaylis it may well be the increased exercise. I inject Friday lunchtimes, and whereas most people report increased hunger a couple of days before, as though the injection has worn off, my most hungry days are Tuesday and Wednesday, with appetite reducing to what I call 'normal person' level for the rest of the week.

I do a lot of exercise Fri-Mon, including 2 hours of swimming, plus 2 body pump classes, one of which is 7pm on a Monday. That's on top of all the dog walking. It makes sense to me that I am more hungry just after all of that.
