Gallstones

I had gallstones and ended up hospital at least 12 years ago. Opted not to have my gallbladder removed because I didn’t want to hang around in the hospital longer than I already was. The gallstones probably happened because I had lost a lot of weight over a relatively short period of time. They haven’t bothered me for years (since I piled all the weight back on, and more….)

Has anyone had gallstones from losing on Mounjaro?

I'm pretty similar to you. I had gallstones 10 years ago and never got my gallbladder removed. No problem since. I've lost 30kg in 15 weeks and no issues so far. Still got a fair amount to lose so it may happen yet.

It's a pain finding a prescriber though as lots of the cheaper ones won't do it if you have a history of gallbladder issues. I started with Oushk and now I'm with Numan.

Thanks for that @Lumpi, fingers crossed with both stay pain free! I went with pharmacy2u for my first pen because they had some money off. They did ask if I’d had gallstones but then followed up with a question about whether I’d had any trouble in the last year (might have been two years), which I haven’t.

Oh, that's interesting! When I was first considering Mounjaro they didn't used to ask that, it was just a blanket no.
Good luck on your journey! Fingers crossed those gallstones stay quiet.
