Voy to Oushk?

I started MJ with Voy in October at just over 30 BMI and a target weight just under 25 BMI.

I went 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 and then have stayed at 10 which suits me well.

It has (touch wood) been a slow but smooth descent to now just 1.5kg over target weight.

Not knowing much about what to expect I went with Voy for the additional coaching and support, but in the event I haven't made much use of it and the couple of times I have it was just by-the-numbers, nothing more than I could have got myself from google or chatGPT.

So I'm thinking of swapping to Oushk (1) because I'm paying a lot for extra support I don't use, and (2) because Voy don't do maintenance and while I'm not sure if I will need that, I really don't want to find out that I do and not be able to get it.

Is switching providers as simple as just completing the Oushk online form and then cancelling Voy? Is there anything that can go wrong/mess things up?

Easy as that! Oushk now want you to have a video call to verify weight and id and I have heard they want proof of three months of prescriptions if swapping at a lower bmi but am not certain.

I would say to search Oushk on this board as there was a recent thread about some odd goings on!

Thank you! I will do that search.

One more question if I may - can I wait to be certain I have been accepted by Oushk before I cancel Voy? (I mean it's not auto-triggered to cancel by starting the process with another pharmacy?)

I'm with oushk and switched at bmi 29 in january. I submitted a photo of my last prescription and a photo of myself and that was it. They are asking for everyone to have weight verification calls but this is not essential yet, guidelines change 1st July, I have not done it upto now but will soon as I have a maintenance call booked in 3 weeks.
Oushk also have support, you can contact them via WhatsApp or email and they reply quickly, I've had replies within an hour on a Sunday night once!
They also have a fbook group and maintenance page.
You could wait with voy but look at when your next pen will be sent out otherwise you may end up with one from each.

@Histoscientist I'm looking to switch to oushk. Do you know if after July you need to have your weight verification before they will prescribe a pen as that will delay it surely?

I don't know as I had joined in January it was before the change in guidelines for video consultations was discussed. You could drop them an email and see what they say? It looks like it will be heading that way for everyone not just oushk. I suspect definitely for new users they will have to wait and for current switching they may offer urgent calls, it is only a 5 min call so really quick.

I did just what you are planning. I moved over about Feb, no issues. I took some screenshots of the Voy app and prescription labels.

Switched from Voy to Oushk in April with no issues, pretty straightforward and easy. Haven't yet needed any support but seems easy enough to get some should you need.

I've just switched from medexpress to oushk at bmi of 23.8, I'd heard medexpress cut you off at 23.5. It was very simple, had to upload photo of my prescription, ID, any other meds, maybe a photo of myself. I was waiting for a call or something but nothing every came, just an email that it had been dispatched and it arrived next day.

Haven't booked a maintenance call yet but will do soon

Catmum100 · 27/05/2025 10:02

I left voy and switched to Pharmulous. Very straightforward and fast, no video call needed. I just had to send evidence of the current prescription. I cancelled voy once I had my Pharmulous delivery, just in case!

BusyBeatle · 27/05/2025 10:05

Voy told me they did maintenance. Well the AI coach did. Is this definitely not the case?

OooPourUsACupLove · 27/05/2025 15:28

They have a maintenence section on the website but if I read correctly they use "maintenance" to mean the dose you settle on to lose weight, not what happens at target. As far as I can see once you hit target weight they start to titrate you off the treatment.
