Advice required regarding dose

I'm now on week 7 of 7.5mg, only injected yesterday and today have much less suppression than I usually would the day after. I've spent my work morning thinking about lunch for the first time in ages!!
I have 3 doses of 7.5mg in this pen. I could try and hard knuckle it for another 3w6d until I'd be starting 10mg, or I could order another pen now of 10mg to start next week or I could 'top up' with 2.5mg out of my 7.5mg pen and then wait until next Thursday to have my next dose of 10mg (again out of the 7.5mg pen)
Right now none of those options sound particularly fantastic but just interested in the advice of any more seasoned users! I'm 3st down in 4 months and don't want to lose my motivation with it!

I’d just ride it out and stick with the 4 doses of 7.5mg personally. Each time you inject the levels will rise in your system, so I’d give it a chance to work.

I think the OP has already done 7 weeks on 7.5mg so the levels will be steady now (my shotsy app indicates that they build for 4 weeks then the waves remain consistent).

Op could you just use the pen to give you 10mg?. With the 5th dose (assuming you have needles) you'd still get another 3 × 10mg doses out of the pen.

I see what you mean. I think I would probably give it one more week on 7.5mg and see how it goes, and then do 10mg after that if it really felt like the 7.5mg was not having much effect.

I ended up doing 4 7.5 pens and some weeks I felt this is it, it's not working anymore, then the following week it vamped back up again.. I would stick with it, you may get the strong feeling back again next week..

The effects do ebb and flow quite a bit, that's normal. However if you are ready to go up to 10mg (quite reasonable if you've done 7 weeks at 7.5) you can order a 10mg pen and use the remainder in your 7.5 pen to increase to 10mg at your next jab. You'll need some needles if you want to extract all the available doses as the pen will not click after a certain point.

I’m on my 6th week of 7.5mg. Like a PP says, the effects do ebb and flow. Last week I found myself with more appetite than before so i wondered if it was time to consider increasing, which if I did, I do 8.5-9mg myself first.

This week though, appetite suppression is really strong so I’m not going to just yet.

I’ve lost 4 stone since October and have 1 more to go. I’ve deliberately tried to stay on each dose as long as possible, and have also done midway dose increases.

i also sometimes go 8-9 days between injections or do 6 days only, if I have a work event I need to be on top form for (as I still get very tired the day after injection) and I find doing every 6 days for a couple of weeks can do the trick, too.

I am one month on 2.5mg and 10 months on 3.75mg. I get days, weeks even when the effects are much less.

Don't think I've had "suppression" since month two. What I do get is volume turned down on the obsessive food cravings and I lose interest in a big meal IF I eat mindfully. I have days I am hungry if I didn't eat enough the day before and if I do I eat (healthily) and within the next few day the effects kick back in.

It is enough for me. I can cope with short term engaging willpower while Mounjaro supports me in the longer term. I hope this stands me in good stead when it comes to maintenance in the future.

If it is just a day or two you have noticed the effects waning, my approach would be to check if I am drinking enough (especially in nicer weather thirst can present as hunger), have some high protein/low carb meals, perhaps calorie track for a week or so and see if it kicks back in. I would do that before considering a dose increase. It has worked for me so far (of course everyone is different).

I'd personally look at current weight loss rate when deciding what to do. If losing 2lb/week currently then I definitely wouldn't increase as 1-2lb/week is a healthy rate.

I find my feelings and interest in food can vary a fair bit but I'm still losing 1.5-2lb/week so I am sticking on my current dose.
