Is Juniper worth it?

I took two doses of 2.5mg back in November and the suppression was instant and intense. I stopped taking mounjaro as I felt it was affecting my mood.

Unfortunately I’ve gained weight and would like to try again. A friend of mine takes 1.25mg per week and is managing well like that, I think that would be sensible for me.

I know Juniper allow 1mg maintenance doses - so Im hoping they’ll be agreeable to micro dosing / half a 2.5mg dose.

Does having the personal service allow people to have these conversations with their prescriber?

I'm with Juniper and they said they could not support me microdosing, only spreading out doses over 10 days instead of 7. I do it anyway and just don't tell them.

Maybe try Wegovy instead as it’s weaker. I don’t think any clinic would allow micro dosing

Thank you - does that not cause issues as you won’t re-order so often?

I read someone was using 1mg with support from their GP.

I expect I will at some point accumulate a backlog of pens, but that suits me fine as I'll want a long slow maintenance taper anyway.

HotDogKetchup · 21/05/2025 11:59

oh I see so they don’t know that’s what you do?

Yes I asked for their support as the lowest dose made me terribly ill. But they said they cannot support with anything other than the approved dose. But obviously I'm not going to poison myself to make them happy! 🤒

The 2.5mg was too much and I had to take time off work, which is not acceptable. So I just take less. It's my body after all.

Thanks @Lundier I took my first 1.25mg dose yesterday. Hoping to take the edge off but not complete suppression like when I last took 2.5mg 🤞🏻

I have low fridges and small children so might only get to use half the pen as I darent leave it where it’s their reach. Which is a shame!

You can buy lockable fridge medicine boxes on Amazon for about £15. Had one in my old work fridge.

Thank you 🤩
