Is SheMed a genuine company, have just signed up, it a friend has said it’s a scam.

You can find out for yourself if it’s a genuine company. They’re registered with the GPhC which regulates pharmacies, and their company is registered with HMRC as a genuine company. So, they are not a “scam”.

They do operate slightly differently to most other pharmacies, as they ask for much more control over things like the dosing schedule, making it a process of discussion between the customer and their prescribing team, rather than just customer request.

I’ve been with SheMed since January, and I am really happy with them. Yes, they choose your dosage, but the way I see it, it’s a very strong medication. I wouldn’t tell my GP what dose my antidepressants should be, so why should I choose it with this?

I have never had an issue with getting my refill, and yes they want regular check-ins, but that’s going to be the norm with all the new rules coming into place.

I was lucky enough to get onto a study they are conducting, so I will be with them for a minimum of 12 months, but locked in at £99. I’ll stay with them after if I can - hopefully they will do a maintenance plan in the future.

It’s genuine but it removes any flexibility so if that’s important to you I would go elsewhere
