I'm on painkillers for bad back and just had a nap very much like the sleeps that codeine brings on. But took the tablets hours ago ? I might just be knackered but does anyone feel like the slower transit also needs time to affect medication soeed?

Yes, I took a laxative last week and it took about eighteen hours longer to work than it usually does.

Yes it’s a known effect that Mounjaro can affect the absorption of other medications because either slows digestion.

Yes in fact one medication just wasn't working as well for me, to the point I thouhht I'd have to come off mounjaro. The medication is supposed to be taken with food.

I ended up switching to taking the medication just before a meal with a swig of milk and can now finally feel the benefit of the medication again.

Id never take this medication on an empty stomach normally. It makes me feel awful. Quite amazing difference.

It worries me because I take alendronic acid for my bones (I have osteoporosis) and you can't eat for half an hour after taking it - it's vital it's taken on an empty stomach. I don't tend to eat for an hour, but I'm not sure that's long enough, and I'm also not sure my stomach is always empty, either. Does anyone know anything about this?

You have to take it on the same day each week - do you think I should fast for half a day before and after?

Yes, this is a very well-established phenomenon and the reason why you have to be very careful indeed if taking a GLP1 with an oral contraceptive.

I don't think I get this problem, I am on some pain meds and they tend to kick in fairly fast, I'm on 15mg as well

They were working the same but just the last couple of days have taken ages
I'll try on empty stomach next time
