Have you tried using a new needle?

One of my pens jammed and it was the needle causing the problem. Took me another 2 needles before it worked.

Have you called/ emailed customer service at the manufacturer?
The details will be on the box or instructions.
They may replace directly.

Given the currently reported delivery delays and slow response to queries across many providers, if I were you, I would keep chasing but also source syringes asap so you can extract the correct dose without using the pen mechanism. UK medi have a next day delivery option I think, but with it being the weekend it might be quicker to find a pharmacy that sells diabetic needles tomorrow.

Zava aren't great at responding to messages, you'll get sorted quicker if you ring them. In the meantime, you might have to source some insulin syringes instead

How many doses have you had? It locks after the fourth one. You say plunger has detached, it does that after 4th dose. Can you post a photo of the pen?

What you describe, specifically the detached plunger, is exactly what happens on the newer style pens after four doses to stop you accessing a fifth dose with the ‘hard twist’ method. Is there any possibility that you have administered four doses from this pen and miscounted? It’s easily done - I have done it myself.

How did the plunger get detached from the screw inside? The only way for that to happen is if liquid is removed/escapes from the vial without the screw pushing the plunger? Did you store with a needle on or use a syringe? Can you share a photo
